Guys like Jimmy were supposed to live forever.

Some made that pilgrimage to see The Dead (heads) every time they were in town, we preferred the Parrotheads.

The parking lot spectacle before the shows and of course the circuses once Jimmy took the stage were stories of legends. I had the good fortune to shoot and review him many a time when I was working for the Illinois Entertainer and my favorite image was from this 2009 tour.

His songs are sung by our kids, his business savvy will be studied, but mostly, he cranked out years of great shows that let us all put the days troubles behind, if just for a few hours. Can you imagine how many margherita’s are being made this weekend?

In deference to past years Masters champ, we here feel he could have put a better effort into tonight’s dinner. He pulled down a clean $2.7 large, so spend a few extra bucks, make a good impression on the old guys and have a good time. With that, we offer our suggestions:

Large Jumbo Shrimp cocktail along with grilled brown lump Crab Cakes & remoulade sauce

We had a company field trip to Hammond Saturday night see our guy Fernando battle. We learned about Muay Thai fighting, had a few frosties and know we have one of the toughest production crews in the Midwest!

We normally aren't too sympathetic to truck drivers but we had to feel for this guy on I-80 today.

Today would be a good day to knock back a couple of Sand Valley transfusions and admire those good looking cans.....
