Dear NC Crew Alumni and friends of NC Crew,
We are in a very exciting time for NC Crew! Now in our 33rd year, from our small beginning in 1990, we are now a team of 30 + rowers and four coaches. As our team has grown, so too has our need for equipment and over the last year our prayers have been answered. Thanks to great generosity from alumni and friends, we have recently purchased a Sykes Quad, Resolute 8, Resolute double/pair, and a Resolute 4.
We are now focused on returning to Augusta, GA from March 17th to March 23th, 2024 for our spring training trip. This trip is something we were very excited to bring back after a 9-year hiatus. The training the team receives and the progress they make during these three-a-day practices is instrumental to the team’s success in the spring. After resurrecting this trip last season, we had 6 boats make the finals at the Midwest Championships – and our Jr. Girls 4 & Girls Lwt 4 finished 8th & 9th respectively in the Nation.
With the team’s continued growth, we now need a charter bus to transport the team to Augusta, book more hotel rooms, and provide more food to keep these kids energized for the hard work they put in! We are reaching out to you now to see if you can help ease the cost to the team members for this trip. The estimated cost is $1,000 per student. Any donations are greatly appreciated and very impactful to the team members’ success. Below are what the suggested monetary donations will cover however any donation is greatly appreciated! Please feel free to team up with fellow alumni/friends/family to help cover a team member’s trip and make sure to check and see if your company can match donations!
Thank you!
What Your Donation Will Cover:
$1,000 – covers an entire trip for one rower
$250 – covers transportation to and from Augusta on the bus for one rower
$150 – covers one rower’s hotel room for the week OR food for the week
$20 – covers one rower’s dock fees for the week
