A cool night of racing last night at the Electric Wheel. Not only was it cooler outside but we finally got our air conditioning up and running as well!

We’re running three classes on Thursdays. Last nights racing was fast and close! Steve Ploskunak had the hot night as he grabbed the win in all three classes. In the FCR COT class it was Steve in first followed closely by Bob McChesney and Dan Ebert (missing from photo). The Indy F1 Womps were next with Steve on top followed by Bob McChesney in 2nd and Ralph Spithaler in 3rd. In the Nascar Stock class, it was Steve Ploskunak again on top followed by Ralph Spithaler and Bob McChesney in 3rd.

We’re still running summer hours through next week. Thursday and Friday 4-10 and Saturday 12 till 5 pm. Racing the same three classes on Thursdays. Shop opens at 4, practice at 6 and racing starts at 7 pm.

Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons are a great time to come to the Electric Wheel to check it out! No racing, so the track is wide open for practice and rentals. No experience necessary. We’ll get you up and running in no time! Parents, bring the kids. Kids, bring your parents!

We’re selling our Carrera 4-lane 1/32 analog track to make room for our new 8-lane oval. With a 95 foot lane length, the track comes on a 9’ x 22’ table fully wired with power taps, timing gantry and driver’s stations. Also includes 2 banked 180 degree turns as well as other extras. Does not include power supply, timing system or computer. Table separates into 3 pieces. Track is like new. Priced to sell below dealer cost. Local pickup only. Butler, PA. $2,200. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!

The Electric Wheel is the happy to announce the addition of an 8-lane 10’ x 24’ Oval. We’ll be running a number of new classes on this track coming soon. Still a bit of work to get it up and running but should be ready to go in a few weeks. Watch for announcements!

That being said, we’ll be selling our 4-lane 1/32 Carrera track with a 95’ lane length that’s also shown here. Complete with 9’ x 22’ table and wiring. It wil be priced to sell. Message us if interested.

We have a new plan for the remainder of summer. We're eliminating Tuesday night racing and adding NASCAR stock to Thursday night’s races. We'll run FCR COT, Indy F1 Womps and NASCAR Stock Thursdays with practice at 6 and racing beginning at 7pm. This starts tomorrow evening. See our website for regulations for all classes.

No racing tonight. We’ll be closed tonight and tomorrow and will pick back up Thursday evening with our FCR COT and Indy F1 Womps. Doors open at 4 with practice at 6 and racing at 7 pm.

REGULATIONS CHANGE - We're upping the motor regulations for our Group F Wing Car class to include F-type mini motors up to 70,000 RPM. This would include the 69,000 RPM CR Head Honcho 6 which runs very well on our track with good reliability.

We're running the Group F Wings along with the NASCAR Stocks on Tuesday evenings. We are open Tuesdays from 6 till 10 pm for racing only, running two classes. Practice begins at 6 pm and racing starts at 7 pm.

Racing tonight! NASCAR Stock and Group F Wings. Practice at 6 and racing at 7. Track is 😀!

Back up to full strength! All three tracks are up and running! The Gerding King is better than ever. Better lighting and very fast.

We’re kicking off a new race series with NASCAR Stock and Group F Wings tomorrow, July 2nd. Practice begins at 6 and racing starts at 7pm. We urge the racers to get here early as we are cleaning the track in the afternoon and we’ll need to get some laps down prior the racing. Hope to see you tomorrow!

The track move is complete! Very happy with the result! Thanks to Michael, Jim, Blaine, Bruce, Jay, Ian and Matt for the help. It was a bit of work but all went smoothly.

We still need to level the track and hook up the electronics but should be back open Friday with business as usual. Might even be able to run some laps tomorrow evening if all goes well!

Racing resumes with Group F Wings and Nascar Stock on next Tuesday evening and FCR COTs and F1 Womps on Thursday evening.

WE'RE MOVING!

Well, not really, but we are changing the layout of our shop!

We will not be racing tonight and will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday the 26th in order to re-arrange our track layout. The goal is to have easy access around the entire King Track. If all goes well we will be back open Thursday evening for open practice and rentals. Racing will resume next week on Tuesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for class details!

We welcome any volunteers that can be here Wednesday Evening around 6 pm to help move the King Track. It will be on wheels but we need a good size team to roll it safely. If you can make it or need more info, message or call the shop phone at 724-496-4406. We appreciate everyone's support!

Apparently there’s some Jeep thing going on and we’re smack dab in the middle of the start! We’re open for rentals and practice this evening. Come check us out!

No racing tonight. We’re pushing the start of the next Wing series till next Tuesday.

Congratulations to the podiums for our final round of the current series for Electric Wheel's NASCAR Stock and FCR Truck Classes for 2024, which took place Thursday, May 16th. Eight racers battled it out for the Championship!

In the NASCAR Stock Class, it was Steve Ploskunak with the win, ahead of Bob McChesney in 2nd and Ralph Spithaler in 3rd. The FCR Truck class was up next with Steve Ploskunak with the win again ahead of Bob McChesney in 2nd and Beau Belenis in 3rd.

We also crowned our champions for the series’ as this was the final round. In the NASCAR Stock Class, it was Bob McChesney with the championship win with 808.43 laps, ahead of Ralph Spithaler in 2nd with 783.77 laps, followed closely by Michael Martin in 3rd with 782.54 laps. In the FCR Truck Class, it was Beau Belenis with the championship win with 643.67 laps, ahead of Bob McChesney in 2nd with 625.47 laps followed closely by Ralph Spithaler in 3rd with 595.50 laps.

The FCR and NASCAR Stock series runs on Thursdays, with practice at 6pm and racing at 7pm. We’re running the FCR COT bodies this time around. The first round of the next series is tonight, May 30th. The regs for these classes are posted on our website under “Race Info”.

We’re also racing the Group F Wing class on Tuesdays with practice beginning at 7 pm and racing at 8 pm. Our first round of the next series is Tuesday, June 4th. Come on out and race! The regs for the Group F’s are also posted on our website under “Race Info”.
