Our Marketing Leadership team had the pleasure of taking a hard hat tour yesterday with CEO, Scott Miles, to see the progress that has been made on our facility. Our team is eager to start sharing more information on our new facility and the resources that it will bring to West Michigan!

One year ago – June 2023 – we broke ground on the new Southridge Behavioral Hospital, located in Byron Center, MI. This past week, CEO Scott Miles led a construction site tour to show off the progress being made. We were enthused to host leaders from Universal Health Services, Inc. - UHS, our parent company, and Trinity Health Grand Rapids – both partners on the JV. Our CEO, Scott Miles (right), joined Forest View Hospital's CEO, Michael Nanzer (left), at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Grand Rapids. This new Crisis Center is a joint venture between the Kent County Community Mental Health Agency, Network180, and Trinity Health Grand Rapids. We are always looking for new ways to collaborate with local organizations in order to help meet the behavioral health needs of our community!
Progress continues on construction of the new Southridge Behavioral Hospital. On track to open in 2025, we thank our partners EV Construction for their continued focus and dedication. Every day we get one step closer to bringing a new facility that will offer hope and healing to our region.

One step closer! Yesterday, we held a beam-topping ceremony at Southridge Behavioral Hospital, located in Byron Center, MI. The beam topping symbolizes that we are one step closer to bringing this new hospital to life and thereby serving the behavioral health needs of this community. Construction begins on Southridge Behavioral Hospital in Byron Center The new healthcare center, which will be built near Trinity Health’s Medical Center, is the result of a partnership between Trinity Health Michigan and Universal Health Services.
