This is what I said to Zak as we sat on our bedroom balcony this past Sunday.

It was my birthday and I reflecting on what I want to create in the year ahead.

Which led me down memory lane.

Let’s rewind... I started my business in 2010.

I worked harder during that time that I’ve worked in my life.

Day after day, I sat in front of my computer screen.

Morning to night, I sold, promoted, and created.

I knew I could help people and I knew I wanted to do it from the comfort of my own home so that one day, I could spend plenty of time with my kid.

But I had also bought into this narrative that the only way I could be successful was if I worked hard.

Have you bought into this too?

And sure, working hard made me successful.

It also burned me out.

So, I decided to do things differently. But honestly, I was scared AF.

I was terrified that if I didn’t show up and do ALL the things, I would lose everything I had worked so hard for.

But when it came down to it, I thought...
.. if this is as good as it gets, I don’t want it.

I turned the work I was doing into a certification program which became .

I took other areas of my expertise and put them into online courses to create passive income.

I built my email list so I could talk to many people at once.

And I made $50 million.

I figured out how to make money without working harder. Sometimes without working at all.

I’ve since made tens of millions more.

I just got back from a weekend in Maui at the Four Seasons where my family and I were pampered.

We relaxed in private cabanas, swam with sea turtles, and spent time on a yacht.

I live in a spacious home in Los Angeles that I can’t believe is mine.

For perspective, I grew up with no running water or a bathroom in my house. I now have 6 bathrooms.

“Relaxing and growing rich” is how I did it all.

And I’m committed to spilling all my secrets, frameworks, and most importantly - SELF Made mindset - so YOU can do it too.

The MOST important thing I learned too late in business was to take care of mySELF first.

There was a time when I hit a wall and ended up on the couch after a complete breakdown.

I had been working 14 – 16 hour days. Determined to “make it”. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I grew up with this idea that I had to work hard to make money.

It was a lie. ❌

When my team member was having to bring me food because I couldn’t make it myself, I knew it was time to switch my priorities.

I followed the plan (yes, the one in the carousel!) so I could build my empire but not burn out.

And if I didn’t get everything done, it was fine. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It just motivated me to focus the next day OR just take it off my list.

When I first moved to LA, I was broke as a joke. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I interviewed for many, many jobs - one as a co-host on a radio show.

The interview started out nice enough but this fella wasn’t playing with me.

When he asked why I was the right person for the job - despite me having a grand total of ZERO years experience in radio *sigh* I went all in on my story.

“Well… I grew up in extreme poverty, experienced a lot of tough things…” blah blah blah 🗣️

On and on I went, spewing my trauma and drama all over him.

Now, this fella had seen a thing or two and did not have time for my s**t. 💩

About halfway through my neverending story, he said to me…

“So… who cares? We’ve all been through some s**t.”

“I didn’t ask you to relive your childhood, I asked you why I should hire you.”

Well… smack me in the mouth. 🫢

I’ll spare you the rest of this cringe story. 🫣

All you need to know is… I didn’t get the job. (Shocking, I know.) 🙅🏼‍♀️

But I learned something that day. Two things really…

1️⃣No one gives a f**k about your past. They have one too.
2️⃣Your past is not a life sentence, it's a lesson. Learn from it and move on.
Because the truth is… YOU get to decide what story you tell about your past.

I had been telling a sob story when the truth was…

All that craziness I had been through (poverty, abuse, trauma, etc. etc.) had given me such gifts.

And as wild as it sounds, I decided to be grateful for them. ♥️

And that changed everything.

Look at your current offerings. Do they excite you? Do they align with what makes you feel alive? If not, it’s time to change them!

When you’re excited about what you’re offering, your audience will be too.

And when they’re excited, they buy! (cha-ching!)

2️⃣Raise Your Prices to Reflect Your Value:

It’s important that your pricing reflects this newfound value.

What I’m saying here is…

You’ve shed old layers and embraced new ones, which means you’re bringing more to the table.

So, set premium pricing that reflects the transformation you’re providing.

3️⃣Market Like A MF - With Authenticity and Passion

Your marketing should be a reflection of your redefined self.

(Remember… people buy outcomes so paint the picture of what’s possible with your offers!

So, the bottom line is this…

… create offers that make you come alive.
… price your products and services to reflect their true value.
… market with authenticity and passion.

Stories like…

🙅🏼‍♀️“This strategy won’t work for me.”
🙅🏼‍♀️“OMG I’m totally gonna fail and then what will they say.”

YOUR STORIES might look like…
❌ I can’t make sales with my online course.
❌ I’ll never grow my audience.
❌I can’t just get clear on a marketing strategy that actually works!

THEN… I rewrite them. ✍🏼

“I’m not smart enough.” becomes “Other people have done it, I’ll just learn from them.”

“This strategy won’t work for me.” becomes “If this strategy doesn’t work, I’ll pivot and try a new one!”

“OMG I’m totally gonna fail and then what will they say.” becomes “People might be uncomfortable as I chase my dreams but my dreams are more important than their comfort level.”

See how that works?

I write them at the top of my planner and read the rewrites throughout the day.

I knowwwww…. Sounds too simple.

Too good to be true.

I get it.

I thought that too - UNTIL I started doing it and the money in my bank account continued to grow (and didn’t stop).

Give it a shot. Or not! 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had to adopt the identity of someone who knows their worth – and asks for it – 10000% unapologetically.

You see…

When you embrace your true value, it changes everything. 🌎

You walk into rooms differently.

You negotiate differently.

You show up differently.

And it starts with YOU deciding what you’re worth – not anyone else. 💗

So, let’s rewrite those old stories like… ✍🏼

“I’m not worth that much.”

“I should just accept whatever I’m given.”

“I can’t ask for more.”

Replace them with your new identity:

✨“I know my worth and I stand by it.”

✨“I deserve to be valued for what I bring.”

✨“I’m confident in my value and I ask for it unapologetically.”

It all starts with knowing the story that keeps you stuck. And then rewriting it.

I was paralyzed with fear.

Why? Because it’s familiar. It sounds like a friend. And that’s the point.

3️⃣ Tell stories. 📖

Stories invite other people into your (weird ass?) world. They remind us we have things in common and that we're not so different.

It’s like we know each other. And when people feel like they know you, they will begin to trust you.

And when they trust you, they’ll buy from you.
