Update: August 25th
Folks. We WILL OPEN. So the rumor of us closing is FALSE and GOSSIP.
If we are able to open prior to January it will be a blessing. Our ceiling work JUST got approved by insurance and now we get on the contractors schedule to repair our ceiling.
This is just step ONE of many steps, but a step closer.
I wish I had better news, but our units took a MAJOR HIT. And with all of the other issues that transpired, its a LENGTHY process unfortunately.
Finally. This is ZERO fault of the contractors. Our job isn’t their ONLY job and they are working us in when they can.

Well. Yesterday marked our first full year at our new location. We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE our new location in our fantastic community called Dutton. We LOVE Gaines Township and all the surrounding neighborhoods and communities.
It isn’t the celebration we were hoping for and we would’ve loved to have had a nice celebration, but instead we are hanging on by a thread, due to the roof mayhem. (Oh and it down poured last night if ya didn’t know) sigh…….
We have a LOT of work ahead us, to attempt to get that tremendous momentum back that we had going here and we look forward to the time when we can get back to it! When that is, we haven’t the slightest idea yet.
We love ya’ll. Continued prayers is much appreciated and not just for us, but for our fellow tenants, staff, and families.

And then we get someone like this. Thanks Brian! Maybe read the HUGE sign on the road? It’s ok Brian, I know how frustrating it can be when you want our delicious food but can’t right now. We’re working on it for ya though!

I had mentioned to a group of bikers I would love to have as many as possible on my 1 year anniversary, the 22nd of June. This has been cancelled due to our circumstances.
Hopefully this gets to the right people.

Update 06/19/2024
Well we have some progress in drying out walls. This is a LONG process folks. Our drywall in our ceiling throughout has to ALL be redone. And from what I’ve been informed of is, thats a few weeks out and a long process in itself. This is all I know currently and I will update as Im made aware. Thanks for the prayers….. keep em coming if you would. Not for me, but for my staff as they are like family. I also hope our business can take this humongous hit.

I do believe I am going to be bringing my smoker to the front and serving Burgers, Phillies, and Hot dogs. Hopefully next week.

Update:
Kitchen tiles and dining tiles continued to fall while I was in assessing damage. No one injured thankfully.
Our entire building tenants have been affected, not just us. We are mostly grateful that not one person was injured. The hired roofing company unfortunately didn’t plan ahead on our weather. We are all working with Recovery Restoration through the building owner but to be completely transparent, OSKAR SCOTS has a lot of hoops to jump through. Without going into any details publicly, we simply ask for prayers while we navigate through this. Thank you.

When it RAINS it POURS and unfortunately it is raining in our kitchen and our dining room. We had to close today…..
We will assess the damage and risk tomorrow morning but as of now we will be open at 9am normal.

Gaines Township has sent both Barry G’s and Oskar Scots a letter because someone complained about our signage that helps drive business. I love my township and I will follow the rules. But I will also be challenging and attempting to try and change ordinance 17.

Beginning today, we will be moving into our summer hours.
New Sunday hours will be 9am-2pm. They will change again come football and fall time.

The other days of the week remain the same other than Monday which is 5am-2pm
Tuesday-Thursday is 5:00-7pm
Friday and Saturday is 5:30am-8pm
