Nearly 1100 books and literacy guides were delivered today to Caledonia’s 5 elementary schools as part of the Kiwanis Annual Book Drive. Every 2nd, 3rd and 4th grader will have a book to take home this summer to help develop their reading skills. Very grateful to our three Scholar Donors that contributed $250 each to help make this happen!

The 1100 books for the 2024 Caledonia Kiwanis Book Drive have arrived! Getting them ready for distribution to the 5 Caledonia Elementary Schools so that every 2nd, 3rd and 4th grader will have a book to take home with them this summer to practice their reading skills. Three donation levels are offered:

Scholar: $250 - your business name & logo printed on the
bookmarks that will be distributed with the books.

The Caledonia Kiwanis Book Drive is back! We are so grateful for all the books that were donated last year - you helped make nearly 1100 students very happy! This year we will be asking for monetary donations to provide one new Scholastic Book to every Caledonia 2nd, 3rd and 4th grader to take home for the summer. The Kiwanis Club will match every donation dollar for dollar. More details will be shared later this week on how you can donate to this effort. We appreciate your support!

Enjoyed the Caledonia Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting today. It was fun to talk about Kiwanis with local business leaders.

Glad to continue our club’s tradition of supporting the kids and encouraging reading.

We are seeking sponsors for our upcoming Golf Outing on June 2nd. This is our primary fund raiser for the year that helps us support student scholarships and reading programs for our youth, among many other things! Message us if you would like to support this great organization.

Book drive update!

We have reached our goal of 1000 books! Thank you Caledonia! Now the sorting begins so we can distribute the books to each of the five elementary schools. Every 2nd, 3rd and 4th grader will have the opportunity to pick out a book to own and enjoy during the summer.

Book Drive Update!

With the books donated by the community added to books purchased by the Kiwanis Club we have reached a total of 925 books! With one more week left in our book drive we need 75 more books to reach our goal. Can you help?

We are almost there, but still a little short of our goal. There is still time to donate. Let’s keep our local kids reading this summer.

CALEDONIA KIWANIS CLUB is still collecting books through the end of April! You can help by donating gently used or new books at the 2nd-4th grade reading level. Drop-off locations are listed on the flyer. Donations will be given to local elementary students to kick off their summer of reading!

We are looking for sponsors for our upcoming golf outing. Help us with our primary fundraiser to help the kids of Caledonia. Social media shoutouts included as well as recognition in our post event ad in the Sun & News.

Kiwanis Book Drive Update

We are about 2/3 of the way to collecting our goal of 1000 books. If you are looking for a place to purchase books to donate: Meijer, Sam's Club and Costco all have good selections at a very reasonable price. The two books below were both under $10 each. Great selections!
