As always the garden is open to anyone in the community. A few veggies are ready to pick.

The struggle for equality and justice—true freedom—continues. Inequity persists.
As United Methodists, we vow to accept the freedom and power God gives us to resist evil, injustice and oppression. There is still much work for us to do. As we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, we do so in this context of persistent injustice and oppression.
Then and now, the life-changing spirit behind Juneteenth is needed: a commitment to ensure full freedom for all people.

A lot of what is assumed about prisoners after their release from prison is inaccurate, say a United Methodist couple who run the innovative 2nd Chance Indiana ministry
A broken neck leads to prisoner ministry The day in 2001 when United Methodist Jim Cotterill broke his neck in a bicycle accident has improbably led to many Indiana inmates having a better chance for a successful life when they leave prison.
Midwest Mission, with whom we partner, continues to seek donations of "expired" rescue equipment. Contact the church office if you are able to assist.
Did you know…
In many countries, fire fighters are walking into fires without proper equipment. For many departments, their “uniform” is jeans and a t-shirt.
Did you know…
In the United States, there is an expiration date on fire gear. That means, uniforms, masks, equipment, and more that is in great condition has to be thrown away.
Did you know…
Our international partners want that "expired" gear! When the choice is a t-shirt, or “expired” turnout gear, most will choose the gear.
We collect expired or unwanted fire gear and equipment and send it to departments around the world through our international partners.
Retired pastor John E. Harnish hopes the new United Methodist Church will emerge from the pain of disaffiliation and the vibrant energy of the recent General Conference as a bridge-building church that brings us closer together.
