31 Mesa View students were recognized by the School Board for being selected for this year San Bernardino County Honor Band! Mr. Kane was selected as the honor band Director of the year!

We had a great time enjoying the eclipse! We used eclipse glasses and an eclipse telescope! We had several students take pictures with their phones! This is a great shot from one of our students!!

Sewing today in home economics club! Students learned how to thread a needle, practiced hemming, and sew on a button.

Mesa View Middle School, a part of the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District, was celebrated as a 2024 California School to Watch at the California League of Educators Celebration and Conference held in Monterey, California on March 8th and 9th.

The California Schools to Watch program honors the state's highest-performing middle schools. Supported by the California Department of Education, the California League of Educators, the California Middle Grades Alliance, and The National Forum, the program recognizes schools that exemplify best practices in middle school education.

Out of 7,172 middle schools across California, only 52 were chosen this year. Mesa View's rigorous application process and a subsequent visit from a team of middle school experts secured their place among this esteemed group.

The experts highlighted the school's positive and collaborative atmosphere, where technology is seamlessly integrated into learning, fostering student interaction within classrooms. Mesa View's extensive support system, encompassing over 20 programs and initiatives, was also recognized. These programs provide a variety of ways for students, staff, and families to connect and engage with the school community.

From its vibrant and successful music program to events like "Sweet Tea with the Principal," Mesa View Middle School demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement. The school fosters both academic excellence and social-emotional well-being for its students.
