As we near our 50th year in business, we’d like to honor the rich Family history we have at ♥️ After years of hard work at her uncles place, Johnnys on the Avenue in Ventura, Bobbi opened her first spot in Oxnard in 1974, followed by several locations throughout the years, including our Camarillo location still running strong today, owned and operated by us, Mike & Tobi (Bobbi’s youngest son and wife). Here we share our gratitude to everyone who has made entering our 50th year serving the 805 possible, including YOU all, our crew and customers. THANK YOU!! It is a regular occurrence to have one of you share with us how many years you’ve been eating at Bobbi’s, or how you remember when Traci, Bobbis daughter, managed the place… or your family member once worked here… or how when you’re back in town it’s your first stop… or you had your first date here… or generations of your family eat here… please share with us your memories, stories and connection to Bobbi’s… we LOVE hearing it, it’s why we feel so proud to carry on the family legacy. #1974 #805

It’s been so fun highlighting our dear friends and their small local businesses. Today we’re so happy to give a shout out to Stacey of !! Not only do we serve her locally roasted coffee at we drink it every morning at home too. Stacey started her business almost 30 years ago, our daughter worked for her for servers years, we have spent many hours “shooting the sh*t” with Stacey about business, life and love, she is a force to be reckoned with and we are very lucky to call her our friend. Her bags of beans and swag make great gifts for the holidays!!!

Who doesn’t LOVE donuts! We are so proud to show off our Niece (Bobbi’s Granddaughter) and her business in Saticoy. A good old fashioned donut shop with donuts everyone will love! Stuff some stockings with gift cards from this locally owned small business and you will definitely get some smiles!

In a culture that so filled with STUFF it’s hard to find gifts for people with meaning. Kim from says cookies are the answer. We are so lucky to call Kim our friend. LOVE isn’t just the name of her cookie company, it’s also WHO she is and what she gives in her daily life. Hey Industry Folks and Consumers. I’d love to have a conversation about adding a sur charge for credit cards … as anyone in the business knows, people are using cash less, what used to be upwards of 75% of all sales being cash, it’s now switched to almost 80% of all sales being cards, driving the fees for small business owners to accept cards up so high it’s almost unmanageable. Paired with the inflated food and supply costs. I think we can all agree we would rather pay our employees more money than any additional profits being sucked up by credit card fees…. How is everyone in the business handling this? How do consumers feel about supporting small business by using cash again or having a 2-4% fee added to help small business. Should the small businesses suffer because consumers choose cards over cash? (I understand sometimes cards are what we have to use because we have no money available)… Thoughts? Advice? Concerns? Thank you for your feedback!!!

We’ve known Sunday for a really long time, our kids grew up together and our family’s paths have been connected in many ways… she busts her ass in her “Day job” at and her free time is dedicated to her small business and family. She’s a creative force and we are so happy to know her!!

Today we’re so excited to feature another one of our absolute favorite places to eat & shop, as well as one of our favorite people and lifelong friends! Kelly started many moons ago on Main Street in Ventura and it is home to a gorgeous market and some of the best food we’ve ever tasted.

With the Holidays near we thought it would be fun to highlight some of our favorite small businesses … this little market in Los Alamos is SO precious and beautiful! Carla who owns is an old family friend, a hardworking farmer and store owner, mom if 3 awesome kids and one hell of a softball player…. We will sport her TShirts with pride and stuff@some stockings with the delightful goods we found in her shelves.
