It’s always a good day when Chuck Aoki brings his Paralympic medals to Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Golden Valley. He got his start in wheelchair rugby here, and now he’s preparing to head to Paris to compete in his fourth Paralympic Games, which begin August 28th.
“It is not an exaggeration to say I would not be where I’m at without Courage Kenny,” said Aoki.

Mark Lopez’s journey from severe COVID-19 to becoming a volunteer is a powerful story of survival and gratitude.
After being hospitalized with COVID-19 and enduring a medically induced coma, kidney failure and surgeries, he recovered with a deep appreciation for the health care workers who saved his life.
