I’ve been working with curly hair for 36 years now and I have learned so much. Each curl tells a story, reflecting the unique personality of its owner. Over the years, I’ve discovered that the key to managing curly hair lies in understanding its texture and behavior. it’s about nurturing and celebrating those natural waves and coils.💁🏽‍♀️

I’ve experimented with countless products, techniques, and styles. I’ve seen trends come and go, but the love for curls has remained constant.💎🌀

As I look back, I remember the early days when education on curly hair care was scarce. Now, I feel a sense of pride in being part of a community that empowers individuals to embrace their natural texture. Sharing tips on hydration, defining curls, and avoiding damage is a passion of mine.

Advocacy for Equal Opportunities in Textured hair Education and Cosmetology

I am writing to appeal to you as a representative of our nation’s educational system, a system which should ideally be devoid of any form of discrimination. However, it has come to my attention that there is an unfortunate and alarming discrepancy in the support and resources provided to those pursuing careers in TEXTURE HAIR education and cosmetology.

Currently, there is a palpable need for trained hairdressers and cosmetologists across the nation, a need which our current education system is not adequately addressing. Our institutions seem to overlook these fields, perhaps due to preconceived societal biases or a lack of understanding of the importance and complexities of these professions.

Just as those studying law, science or any other discipline, students pursuing careers in tax education and cosmetology deserve equal attention, resources and support. It is the responsibility of our educational system to ensure this happens. Our nation’s strength lies in its diversity, and our education system should reflect this by providing equal opportunities to all, regardless of their chosen field of study.

In this light, I implore you to take action. Let’s raise the bar. Let’s make enough noise to ensure our voices are heard. Let’s advocate for the rights of those studying taxes and cosmetology, acknowledging that they too deserve special attention.

Job Description
Le Petit Curl Concept is seeking an experienced Salon Coordinator who is professionally prepared to dive into managing operations of a high-volume salon on day one. At Le Petit Curl Concept we focus exclusively on curly and textured hair. Our goal is to help clients fall in love with their curls, celebrating what we like to call “Curl Power”.
In this role, you will be required to manage client appointments, supervise and coordinate staff members, greet and interact with clients, and oversee the daily activities to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the salon. Ideal candidates have excellent organization skills and customer service skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Professionals in the beauty and wellness industry with similar experience are welcome to apply.
Salon Coordinator Responsibilities
• Greeting and welcoming clients. Tending to client complaints and questions.
• Coordinating staff shifts and cleaning schedules.

The Three Types of Tone
Directional light may be divided into three types of tones in its most basic form. The highlights, shadows, and mid-tones. How would this be applied in art? We can look at how to reduce a topic by simply dividing it into lights and darks in a shadow Painting on the hair. Now we may add another layer of nuance by incorporating a mid-tone. We develop our mid tone on the painting with a brush and connecting it into the mapping of the Head.

Dramatic emotions are created by striking contrasts, whilst warmth and comfort are shown by minimum contrasts. Most colors in nature have a gray value, thus artists who know how to appropriately combine precise shades, tints, or tones may assist the artist in accurately Coloring the varied highlights and shadows of the object they are creating.

Teo will be traveling from January 17th to January 28th. During this time the salon will be open

- Thursday 1/19 to Saturday 1/22
- Thursday 1/26 to Saturday 1/28

Don't panic! For your color needs, we are accepting appointments for basic color processing (roots, single process, foils) with Mariela. Mariela is trained in soft curls, wavy hair, and 3A and 3b texture. Unfortunately, she is not yet trained in coils or kinky curls. For coils, kinky curls, and multi-dimensional color book now with Teo or for after 1/28 when she returns to the salon.

For haircuts, Kale has you covered! We are accepting appointments for all haircuts with Kale.
