When and I have a vision, we go for it. And here that included dragging roses across the state of New Mexico, floral designing in an airbnb, and convincing newlyweds and to meet us in the White Sands Desert so we could take their photos and make our vision come to life.

I learned just how many hours roses can sit in a hot car, sand sledding is actually really hard, and that usually the effort of making art is so worth it. Also, ask me to design flowers for your desert wedding? I will always say yes.

The best part of designing for A&R was making a floral dog collar for their dog Squirrel. She’s a wise old soul and had a matching pink dress and it was nearly too much for my soft heart to handle 🥹😍

✨end of an era✨
I’m sad to say this weekend is going to be my last Black Sheep Market delivery 😔 For the last nearly year and a half I’ve been bringing locally designed flowers to my neighborhood most weekends, which has brought me so joy! However as my biz has grown, I realized I needed to make the bittersweet decision to focus on weddings and events going forward. 🥹

Thank you so much to for providing a place to sell my flowers when I was a little newborn business and to my neighbors of Cambridgeport who bought my flowers week after week ❤️ You can’t grow a business without a community!

I’ll still plan to sell designs for pop-ups and holidays, but otherwise I’ll be right down the street focusing on slinging flowers for weddings!

Pride in Bloom 2024 🏳️‍🌈

So happy I got to celebrate Pride by partnering with again this year to bring colorful floral art to our beautiful city!

(Orders are open!) Celebrate Pride and the beautifully q***r nature of, well... nature! 🌺🍄🪴🌈​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I teamed up with the incredible q***r artist to create custom tshirts to benefit Advocates for Trans Equality (a merging of and ).

You'll get to show off your belief in inclusion (one of Althea's core values!) and Fern's stunning illustrations of some flowers that go beyond binaries in the botanical world. Yup - being q***r is natural and beautiful!

As a q***r florist in what can be a pretty heteronormative industry, it's so important to me that everyone feels welcome to celebrate their authentic selves. Pride is partly a celebration, but it's also about making sure there's more safety and visibility for q***r and trans people, because visibility can create progress.

So buy a shirt, support Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE), wear your Pride, and show the next generation that it's amazing to be q***r and proud! Orders are open online (🔗 in bio) through June 20th and all profits go to support trans rights!! 🌈🏳️‍⚧️
