Spring into Action with Acupressure Therapy
It is spring. We are all yearning to shed our winter jackets, exchange our boots for sandals, and spend more time outdoors in the sun away from freezing winds and cold. We are ready for change on a physical and mental level. The body and mind are responding to nature's influences and subtle pressures of the shifting seasons.
The beginning of any change is the most important transition. Help in the form of gentle Acupressure therapy can greatly benefit this transition. Energetic work on the channels of Qi can smooth their flow and bring balance to the organs that will harmonize the body and mind together at once. Attention to specific Acupressure points can move stagnation, create movement and build energy. A brightness and lightness can move through the body and lift the mind and emotions to embrace the energies of springtime and prepare us for the changes to come.
New growth and rejuvenation arise. We then understand the saying: "spring into action" and feel it's movement, power and enlightening effects.
Now is the time to think about making an Acupressure therapy appointment when spring is beginning to unfold. Embrace the moment of new beginnings.

Dear Friends,
In case you haven’t already heard, the FSMTB (Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards) presented a draft of their proposed Model Practice Act (MPA) for public comment. Essentially it is requiring all Asian Bodywork Therapists (our scope of practice) to become Licensed Massage Therapists (outside of our scope of practice), both in education and testing.
While it is common in the United States to clump the two disciplines together, they are in fact, distinctly different professions with our own regulatory agencies. Asian Bodywork Therapists has our own educational standards (500 hour minimum) and regulatory agencies - AOBTA: The American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia and NCCAOM: National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
I am posting today to solicit your support regarding this measure. You can review the Model Practice Act and access the Online Comment Form using the links embedded in “Step 3.”
