Cambridge Public Schools and all Department of Human Services Program (DHSP) preschool and afterschool programs will be closed on Tuesday, February 13th, due to the forecasted snowstorm. Stay safe!

We wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week with a group photo! We are lucky to have such amazing and dedicated staff who make our school special. Yay!! Go team!

On Friday, we celebrated Lunch Hero Day, honoring our cafeteria staff. We cherish this crew who keeps us fed, happy and healthy day in and day out. We love you!

All Cambridge Public Schools after school sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities are canceled on Tuesday, March 14, due to the winter storm. There will be no late bus transportation.

Additionally, the city’s Department of Human Services Programs (DHSP) Community Schools and after school care programs are canceled Tuesday, March 14.

Today we celebrated Read Across America Day by dressing as a book character and dropping everything to read. As you can tell, our staff really enjoyed dressing up!

Our staff joined in on the fun for Mismatch Day, celebrating our 100th day of school!

We had a full house this morning for our 3rd & 4th Grade Winter Concert. Special Thank You to our Music Teacher, Debbie Sullivan! Bravo G&P Musicians!

A shout-out to Graham & Parks Elementary School teacher Karen Engels, who is a 2022 Massachusetts Teacher of the Year semi-finalist. The Teacher of the Year (TOY) program recognizes an exemplary teacher who will serve as a liaison to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and as an ambassador to other teachers in the state.

Karen began teaching in Boston Public Schools in 1999 and has taught third and fourth grade at the Graham and Parks School since 2010. This year she has also served as a co-leader of the Grade 4 Collaborative. She is a proud CPSD parent whose three children have attended Cambridgeport, Graham and Parks, Cambridge Street Upper School, and Cambridge Rindge and Latin. Way to go, Karen!
