This Week • Filmmaker in Person! The Brattle is thrilled to be the first stop for a brand new 35mm print of the newly restored, 1994 avant-anarcho-ecosatire FRESH KILL, with director Shu Lea Chaeng in person! This stylized cult classic envisions a post-apocalyptic landscape strewn with electronic detritus and suffering the toxic repercussions of mass marketing in a hightech commodity culture. It also tells the story of two young le***an parents caught up in a battle over the global exchange of industrial waste when their child disappears after eating contaminated fish.
