Jerry Jerome, hall of fame South Jersey soccer coach, retired project manager, and veteran, has died at 87 He graduated from Rutgers, lived in Cherry Hill, and was a member of the South Jersey Soccer and New Jersey Youth Soccer halls of fame. Friends and colleagues called him Mr. Soccer.

NJ Youth Soccer collectively mourns the passing of Jerry Jerome. For many years, Jerry served on the NJYS Board of Directors, first as the Chair of NJYS State Cups and then as our Chair of Recreation Soccer.

Jerry was a larger-than-life figure who influenced so many people throughout the soccer community. A co-founder of Camden Youth Soccer Club, he was a champion of community soccer programs and was dedicated to providing inner city children in Camden with the opportunity to play the beautiful game. He always loved to be involved with our Celebration of Soccer Events, and now it is our turn to celebrate the incredible life and legacy of Jerry Jerome. Thank you for everything you did to grow the game.

FALL SEASON UPDATE: The good and bad news is that our program is full!

We've closed registration to keep teams at the right size to ensure a high quality experience for all players — with lots of engagement with the ball, with teammates, and with our amazing volunteer coaches.

Unfortunately we will not be able to accept any additional registrations on the field this season. We look forward to continuing to improve and grow our program — now in its 20th year!! Please send us a message if you're interested in volunteering or getting involved. Thank you!

At the end of the Spring Season 2023 we just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you coaches for making our program possible, thank you parents for bringing your children, but most of all, thank you players for being yourselves, thank you for trusting us to teach you to play soccer and thank you for allowing yourselves have fun.
