Nostalgic Wednesday: Camden Classics Youth Regatta 2024

As the summer season winds down, we’ll take some time to look back over the nine-weeks that went far too fast.

First up: CCCYR
We had 94 sailors competing over four different fleets made up from 10 different area sailing programs! What an excellent turnout.

Image 5 presents CAYSP sailors Oliver and Chase taking first place 🥇 in the 420 Spinnaker Fleet.

Awards Night 2024. Thank you all for a wonderful season: students, parents, volunteers, board members, instructors, and everyone else who helps make CAYSP the fun and inviting place it is!
Congratulations to Senior Instructor Jane Brenninkmeyer for being awarded the first annual “Julie Beauchesne Excellence in Instruction” award. This award honours an instructor who embodies the heart and mission of CAYSP.
Congrats as well to Emily whose paper slip listing “mutton chops” was drawn as the facial hair style I have the privilege to sport for this final week of camp!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual bucket race last night! Thank you to our caysp staff who helped put this event together and congratulations to Topher Sailer and Carter Goss our 2024 bucket race champions 🏆

We are only two weeks away from up-rigging and four weeks away from the start of Session 1!

During this time, we’ll be saying hi to old friends we’ve missed, securing racks, hauling down boats, checking gear, rigging dinghies, and much more.
