Hello and welcome to beautify your skin my name is MeMe, I created beautify your skin because I couldn't find an esthetician to help me with my skin that knew more than I did. I have spent over 16 years in the treatment room experiencing all kinds of skin issues and complications. My time in the treatment room has allowed me to w**d through certain things to figure out what's really going on with the skin. This hands-on experience helps my clients achieve faster and better results, in a much shorter time.

Sometimes my clients don’t even have acne in the first place, but something that can resemble it. I see this happening a lot by the way the internet and the way social media explains skin conditions.
In my explanation to my clients, I try to simplify the information as much as possible. One thing I see and hear a lot about is my client’s choosing products based on the marketing efforts that explain these products are for acne, and with the stellar 5-star reviews it seems like a great product. What about if you have taken a simple skin quiz in the hopes this time you will get better results. Unfortunately, what’s wrong with this? Going back sometimes my clients don’t even realize they may NOT actually have acne.

Pimples in any form make us feel like we stand out and not in a good way. There is shame attached to acne as if we did something wrong to cause it. The negative self-talk is real, and we do it in silence. Remember It’s not your fault and you can be beautiful even with a pimple. MY Slogan for myself over the years…I always told myself I would rather have a pimple than a wrinkle because pimples go away, wrinkles don't!

My treatment room experiece gave me a lot of AHA moments and some secret weapons that I share with my clients on a daily basis. Having the knowledge to help my client achieve their goals faster without going down the rabbit hole is cost effective!! What’s My advantage vs Others who Treat Acne?
My years in the treatment room!! Treatment room experience has allowed me to see so many variables in action/real time. For example, skin type and color with sensitivities or reactions, what happens if I do this with that? No two faces are the same and neither are the client’s lifestyles. Being able to navigate and ask the right questions, like a detective helps rule out possibilities and find custom solutions for my clients.
Seeing thousands of clients with so many variables has allowed me to understand things my clients don't and frankly shouldn't have to.

Working with specific products for many years has allowed me to guide my clients to success faster and easier, however it takes patience, understanding, and commitment in this process.

I work with several skin care lines because not everyone has exactly what one person's skin might need versus another. I want to be able to target every angle if needed.

I created Beautify Your Skin 17 years ago because I couldn't find an esthetician to help me with my skin issues. At that point, I had suffered with acne for over 25 years and was starting to see the aging set in. During this time, I was transitioning my career, and was obsessed with my own skin, so this was a perfect match. My goal was to bring a different type of service that would educate and help others achieve incredible results with their skin, not just another face massage. I wanted to share my successes and knowledge to address any issues clients struggled with. During my years in the treatment room managing my clients skin issues I discovered it can be simple to very complicated. Now with all the social media noise out there it's very easy to get confused, lost, and go down a rabbit hole for an extended period of time. It can create extreme frustration, and a lack of trust. After spending months and sometimes even years trying what is promised to fix your skin issues but didn’t, wouldn't it be wonderful to find an esthetician who you can trust and knows her stuff because she went through too?

A Clinical Estheticians Advice
Best cleansers for Acne Prone Skin?
Or should it say “Best Cleansers for Your Skin Type and/or Issues”

Anyone can develop acne at any-time in their lives. There are too many variables to discuss here, however if this happens to you here is the best advice I can give before you go down that rabbit hole. Or Book an appointment with me and we can figure it out together.

Tip: choosing the right cleanser for your skin type, regardless of the Acne should come into play and here is why. Let say out of the blue you developed some acne lesions on your skin.
Things to consider:
1. Is it really acne? Not sure…seek advice from a professional Esthetician
2. Most Acne cleansers are designed for Oily to Combo skin types – not occasional random break outs.

Hint: if you don’t have the skin type for that cleanser, you can develop that type of skin by using the wrong cleanser and now you have multiple issues to contend with. Catch my drift?

Acne is complicated, so why complicate it more. Choose a cleanser that your skin can tolerate well. If you must use 2 different cleansers because your skin is too dry, sensitive, etc, then by all means do it!
