Hannah Belmont will be performing stand-up tomorrow night at Patina Arts Centre!!

Hannah is one of the funniest comedians and we are thrilled to host her on the CCB main stage. Originally a Chicago native, Hannah is the head of the Oberlin College Stand-Up Comedy Coalition where she books and produces shows for the college.

Her own stand-up act has graced stages all over the Midwest, including Hilarities, The Laugh Factory, Second City, and several Don’t Tell comedy shows. She has also performed in many festivals, including The Rubber City Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival, and Sixth City Comedy Festival.

Hannah’s material is as sharp as her wit, and unafraid to call out our worst instincts. Her act is honest, blunt, and delivered with a charm that endears audiences to her quickly. We can’t wait to host her here in Canton!

Local improv troupe, Brain Farts Royale will be performing this weekend at Patina Arts Centre for The Comedy Variety Show!

Brain Farts Royale are an improv troupe featuring comics from the Stark County area. The group includes several seasoned stand-up and improv performers including Eric M Simons, Bob Watson, Andrew Burge, Trevor Scott, and Gabe Lavictoire!

Are they any good at it? Are they quick enough? Clever enough? Probably not. It’ll be a regular Brain Farts Royale!

This hilarious group of wonderful human beings will be performing games and skits based on audience suggestions, and you can catch them monthly at our Boom Boom Improv Night!

The show will also feature Dazzle Award winner, Neil Conroy, and comedian, Joe Esch, who has opened for Joe Pera and Jay Jurden, as well as sketch comedy by Canton Comedy Boom!

Canton Comedy Boom is excited to announce a brand new comedy segment we'll be adding to our free First Friday shows in Canton!!

The News Room, a live, monthly comedy segment where we poke fun at the news premieres this Friday, August 2nd at our First Friday Free Comedy Night !!

The show will also feature some great stand-up comics, and will be hosted by the always charming Autumn Carper!

We'd like to give a special shout out to The News Room team: Eric M Simons , Matt Thompson, Monica Hager, Matt Cutler, Lydia Carmany, Sara Short, Matt Farkas, Kelly Thewlis, Andrew Burge, and Kyle Stead!

They've been working hard all month crafting some hilarious material and we can't wait to do it live!!

As we prepare for Patina Arts Centre’s First Fundraiser on August 2nd we are excited to take a moment to highlight Canton Comedy Boom, a local comedy group whose success story exemplifies the importance of third spaces in fostering artistic talent.

“…Canton Comedy Boom’s main stage is located in Patina’s Underground Performance Space in downtown Canton. Its muraled walls and quirky carpet offer a visually unique and intimate environment that has quickly become a favorite of comics and their fans in northeast Ohio. Our goal was to create a safe, inclusive space to spotlight local comedic talents while providing an unforgettable and entertaining experience for the public.

Since our first open mic here in 2022, dozens of exceptionally talented comics have graced our stage, including Marty Malloy of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, John Armstrong, winner of the Performer’s Award and Best Comedian at the 2024 Cleveland Comedy Awards, and radio celebrities like Mary Santora and Bill Squire. We have hosted over 40 shows at Patina, featuring over 100 comedians from 14 different states. Many of our shows have doubled as fundraisers for numerous local charities, and we love to host themed showcases comprised of diverse groups of comics around topics like sobriety, autism, or queerness.

A new stage and sound system was installed in 2023 thanks to Ben Myers, and our sponsor, Deli Ohio, who graciously funded new chairs for our guests. From standup to improv and sketch comedy, the CCB main stage at Patina is Canton’s only performance space dedicated exclusively to comedy.

A visit to Patina Arts Centre promises an immersive experience at the intersection of creativity, community, and comedy!”

We love our Fronimo's Downtown neighbors! 🌟

We have some pretty amazing people who live and work in our Downtown Canton community! One of those people is Starr Froinmo! Starr is the owner of Fronimo's Downtown! Starr has worked in downtown for 23 years! For the last 8, she has operated the downtown staple Fronimos! When asked what her favorite thing about Downtown Canton is she stated. "The loyal patrons have supported me and our location over the years!"
