Did you know that my favorite beauty store, the motherland, Ulta, often has really good sales? They do! They also have a sale event “21 Days of Beauty” when they sell a handful of products at a discounted cost for 24 hours each day. The “21 Days of Beauty” sale happens twice a year, in March and September. It’s the best way to try new products at sometimes half the cost. I live near an Ulta store so I order online and pick it up in the store to not pay for shipping. Be on the lookout for the next sale!
Last year Bumble and bumble Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray was half off for the day. I hadn’t tried the product yet and was so happy to grab it for a steal. Bumble and bumble is well known to have quality products so any time you can get a deal on one of their items, buy it. This thickening texture spray impressed me. I do not use texture spray every day. I will often use it when my hair is at least 1 day dirty and I am putting curls or a wave in it. (I will also use texturizing spray if I’m putting in my clip-in extensions. The spray helps give your clips something more to hold on to.) I style my hair first, then I spray the BB spray on my roots, I let it dry for a few seconds then go in with my fingers to roughen up the roots a bit to help make some volume. I feel that it also works a bit like a dry shampoo and cleans up some of the oily look on my roots. I don’t use hair spray too often but when I curl my hair I do add a few sprays of hairspray to finish it off. I have been so impressed with this texture spray and love how it adds volume and an airy fullness (as the description promotes) to my hair. Now, those of you beauties with luscious thick hair may not need a product like this, but those of us with fine hair could use all the help we can get!

When it comes to making personalized fun items for Easter the ideas are endless. If you want a different personalized basket for your kids, I can do that! I can put personalization on all types of material, including fabric. Fun shirts with bunnies and all things Easter, I can do that! A bunny stuffed animal with your child’s name? Done! A cute canvas bag that will hold all their egg hunt treasures? Let’s do it! Easter is also a great time to have a cute-themed paper banner. Paper banners are not expensive and can be a very quick way to add seasonal decorations.

Today’s post is about an easy little DIY craft that is super versatile. I bought blank keychains from Amazon and then got busy creating. Cricut Design Space is a great way to make unique keychains for yourself, your friends, and your family. You can make keychains for different occasions, such as Easter, Christmas, or even for a birthday. You can also make keychains that have a special meaning to you, such as a quote or a memory.
We traveled a lot last year so I decided to use one of these keychains on my luggage to help me spot my suitcase easier on the belt at the airport. Embarrassing story: I flew a few weeks ago and when I grabbed “my” luggage off the belt I started to feel unsure if it was really mine. I literally couldn’t remember which suitcase I had brought! I unzipped it quickly and it wasn’t my luggage! Even worse, this happened one more time before I found my luggage. Even worse WORSE, a lady stood near and watched me with a judging eye as I pulled the wrong suitcase twice. Why do we all have blue Samsonite suitcases? For my next trip I had this lovely flower keychain hanging on my bag.
I’ve seen the trend of turning these blanks into cute little Easter basket markers. I love this idea! I made one to hang on my bunny basket as decor. Giving a fun keychain in the Easter basket is a fabulous idea also. I am always running out of non-candy ideas for the baskets. Don’t get me wrong, we do a LOT of candy but I like to have some fun items that aren’t sugar-filled in their baskets.
My son had me make him a keychain with his favorite band on it so he could put it on his bass case. My husband has a Batman keychain that I made on his set of car keys. The ideas are endless!

My Favorite Mascara👀
Essence | Lash Princess False Lash Effect

I was 18 years old when I bought my first “expensive” mascara. A beautiful & trendy friend of mine and I were shopping at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. She boldly walked into Nordstrom, I don’t think I had ever stepped foot in that store before. We went directly to the make-up counters and she told me that Lancome mascara was the best. I slammed down my $25 and that was the beginning of me spending way too much money on mascara. I never bought another drugstore brand again. Then a few years ago I started hearing about this mascara from Essence. I was intrigued by the cult following and could not believe that any $5 mascara could be worth all the fuss.
I’m here to tell you – It’s worth the fuss! I like the tube with the teal writing the best, Lash Princess False Lash Effect. It doesn’t clump, is the darkest black, and elongates my lashes. You can see in the pictures that it doesn’t disappoint. I have bought it on Amazon and Ulta (the motherland of all things beauty). For $5 it’s worth a try.

About a year ago I started a blog for Cannon Celebrations and I have loved learning about blogging and sharing beauty and crafting tips and tricks. I received a great introductory rate for one year on my blogger page. Now that my year is almost up I have been contemplating what I want to do. The price is kinda high. I CAN spend that much but do I really WANT to has been my question. I have decided that it seems a bit silly to spend a few hundred dollars on a site at this point. And I don't want to start all over again with another blogger site right now.
So, I am going to try to slowly move the articles and pictures of FB and Instagram. I'm not sure what that will look like and I'm sure I'll try a few different ways. Please stick w/me as I figure out how to make these changes. 🩵

Flutter Habit lashes. I've talked about these before. They are false eyelashes that you apply under your lashes in segments. They last about 5 days, some people get them to last even longer. I don't wear them often but always love them when I do. I have always worn the Wink style. This time I tried the Holly style and like them a lot too! They come in 4 segments per eye but I only needed 3.
