Celebrating 50 Years of Life Today! God has been Good 🙌🏽

Although I haven't really posted my events since May 2021, that doesn't take away from the fact that I have been blessed to work with some of the most amazing clients over these last couple of years!

So I'll pick up where I left off...starting with The Miller Wedding on May 29, 2021 at the beautiful Masonic Temple in Downtown Detroit. This was my first wedding since the pandemic with 150 guests and suprisingly enough no one wore masks!

Katie was in a previous wedding I had coordinated, and her Mom reached out to me during the pandemic to be the Wedding Coordinator. Fortunately we didn't have to postpone the date like so many others and everything turned out just beautiful! I remember so many special moments from that day including the dance with Grandma and the sunset photo on the rooftop. I think the best part was when I told the wedding party to make up their own special entrance for the reception. They were amazingly creative! So much fun!

And how ironic that their Officiant was Pastor Joe, whom I had the pleasure of decorating for his Ordination Reception many years ago in Chelsea, Michigan.

Thank you Katie and Devin for entrusting me on your Special Day...it was truly an honor...

Today I am thankful for your support of Cece Nash Events. I am grateful for every inquiry, referral, client, vendor, venue owner, and industry partner that I've been able to connect with this year. You've been amazing and the best is yet to come! Happy Thanksgiving! decor

IG Family! My last post was in January as I was preparing for an eventful 2022. Then on February 11th, I lost my my QUEEN, my Inspiration, my dear Mother. It's because of her that I am the event professional that I am today. I called her the "JILL of all trades". She could do anything! Through her death, I found out the great impact she had on the lives of countless people.

Although I didn't share this with many (I know you would have supported me through this difficult time), I would like to thank those who expressed their condolences. In particular, I must give a shout out to Terrell of Midtown Printing for the beautiful funeral programs; Annie of Annie's Flowers & Wraps who simply understood the assignment; Wayne Norman who captured beautiful photos of the service, and Sharman of who immediately stepped in and provided whatever I needed, including her rose gold linen and accessories.

Shout out to the awesome Bishop and Lady Shelby and the Burning Bush International Ministries, the Shelby 5 (one of her favorite groups), and Bishop Marvin Winans for delivering an amazing eulogy, and so many others that contributed to the beautiful service.

So many have shared their fond memories of Mom that attested to the amazing woman she was! She was simply a JEWEL with such a giving heart! I am proud to carry on her legacy! 🙏🏽❤️ 👑

Hey Y'all! I know it's been a while since I posted, but I think all of my Event Industry professionals can agree that it's been a busy year! No complaints here though.

I'll soon be posting the wonderful events I've been honored to be a part of this year. Until then, make sure you lock us in for 2022 for all of your special occasions!

Happy Juneteenth! It's now a Federal Holiday!

On June 19, 1865, in Galveston, TX, the last enslaved African Americans were finally given notice of their freedom. However, their freedom was bittersweet - it came 2 and 1/2 years later, after President Abraham Lincoln had signed the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863!
We've come a long way, but there's still so much more to do! So today, we celebrate freedom and family, and continue to fight for justice and equality.

Loved this color palette for our CNE client celebrating her 53rd Birthday in her home. Her colors were turquoise, fuschia, and a little leopard print. Client was pleased and I think it turned out great! What a beautiful chandelier which simply enhanced the ambiance of the room.
