Yesterday, we got to observe both ordinances of the church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, on the same day! It is always great to see how God continues to add to the church. We are so blessed by the hope we have in Christ! Today, we remembered all those who were members who passed away over the last year but we know we will see them again because of the hope we have in Christ. We need to share that hope with others! This week think about how God could use you to share the gospel with someone else!

Today we got to say a big THANK YOU to our first responders. We were so happy to have many first responders from our community here to thank and celebrate them! Just like they have followed the calling to help others in their life, we need to follow the call of God to reach and help others in our life. Let’s go out and thank a first responder and then be the spiritual first responder in someone else’s life.

Ladies, Coffee & Conversation will begin its 5th season this Monday, September 9, at 12:00 in the Multi-purpose room. Come enjoy food, fellowship, and great speakers! We meet the second Monday of every month during the school year.

Yesterday we got to host the Perry Football team for our annual feed the team. Nobles Darby IV, the chaplain for the Cleveland Browns and co-chaplain for the Cavaliers, was our guest speaker and he got to share the gospel with the players. A big thank you to Nobles, all the volunteers, and to the Perry Panthers for an awesome time! Good luck against St. V’s tonight!

Today, we got to see 3 people get baptized! What an awesome encouragement to see God continue to add to the church. Yesterday we had a great service to honor those in the education system! We had Adam McKenzie, the principal of Tuslaw High School, to pray over our school system workers and this upcoming year. Whether they are working as a teacher, custodian, bus driver, home schooling, or anything in between each one of them has a huge impact on our students! Once again from us here at CBT, thank you! What better way to start a month than to think on the love of God! Because God loves us he will carve out the things that don’t need to be in our lives, which can be hard at the time. Last night finished off our Summer Bible Conference with a concert from GloryWay! What a great way to finish off the camping season where God did some incredible things through the staff and the speakers. God still uses Camp CHOF to reach campers with the gospel. This year 69 campers accepted Christ as their savior, 35 made the decision to be baptized, and 3 made the decision to go into full-time ministry. To God be the glory!

Sunday was a great day to be with God’s people in God’s house! We started the morning off with some baptisms and ended it out at the camp with the kickoff to our Summer Bible Conference! It is always encouraging to see God add to the church. Dr. Rick Carter was our guest speaker and will be with us through Tuesday night. Make sure to come on out to the camp tonight at 7:00 pm and hear another challenging message from Dr. Carter, oh and get some FREE ice cream, as we continue our Summer Bible Conference!

It is great to know that God’s love never wanes! This morning we focused on the fact that no matter what we do or where we go, God loves and cares for us. We also got to celebrate our Exceptional Class here at the church and honor Carol Rusher who has served faithfully in the class for 48 years. God has given us so many opportunities to serve him and reach people with the gospel! If you want to know more how you can get involved feel free to reach out or call the church. See you Wednesday!

In case you missed this last Sunday we got to have 6 people get baptized! We also got to kick off a new series about the Radical Love of God that will take us through most of the summer. Happy Father’s Day! We had a great service this morning where we got to honor all the fathers present with a Norcia’s pepperoni roll. On top of that we gave a few special gifts to the oldest father and the father with the youngest child present (we’ll let you decide which is which!) Then Pastor finished out his series on good, godly parenting with characteristics of a good, godly father. It was a great day at church!
