Good afternoon. I have felt compelled to post about Covid related hair loss.

This is a very real issue I have seen and it happens a few months after you’ve gotten over Covid which can be very confusing to the person as they are trying to find the reason for their sudden loss of hair. Up to 1/3 of the hair can be lost and seems to mostly focus on the front and sides of the hair. 

Covid doesn’t necessarily caused the hair loss but the loss of oxygenation to the hair follicle, fever, and general stress done to the body can cause hair loss in some people and last up to 4 months.

I always recommend biotin but if you come down with Covid I highly recommend starting a B complex vitamin along with biotin supplements immediately. Start right away so that way if hair loss does become an issue for you it may not be as severe. 

I am now using Square Scheduling for all my appointments. From now on you’ll be getting automated appointment reminders you can confirm on. I will not be allowing online booking, please continue to go through me for that. Sorry everyone for the mishap with scheduling! I think I have everyone all set!

Rest assured I am taking extra measures to make sure my work space is sanitized properly. I understand the worry everyone faces as I worry about them too. However if you are sick, please feel free to message me so we can reschedule your appointment. If under any circumstances I get sick, I will inform you via text or messenger.

I think social avoidance at this juncture is paramount to making sure this virus runs it's course with as little harm as possible. I am grateful at times like this that I am a one man business. Your safety and health (not to mention your hair's integrity) during your appointments is always my #1 concern.

Balayage never gets old

Nadia was an interesting case.

You see she's been going gray since she was 14. Now she is 100% white and too young to show it off just yet so she's been dying her own hair (using professional color thank goodness) once a week for YEARS.

You guys that's A LOT of color build up.

It's impossible to just apply color on that teeny amount of gray that pops in weekly so naturally when she applies her weekly color is overlapping on previously colored hair week after week after week.

She's also using a dark brown color and she's ready to go a bit lighter.

On top of ALL THIS her hair has shown to be incredibly brittle (no fault of hers it's just genetics), and easily breaks.

In her before photo you can see we did some highlights. They've been covered up mostly since. But the tricky part is how am I gonna lift her hair using a lightener when her hair has layers and layers of color molecules packed in AND it's prone to break easily???

Welcome Olaplex to the rescue.

Olaplex is an additive I apply in my bleaches to help keep the hair bonds together and avoid breakage. It's like insurance. A "just in case" measure.

We foiled her entire head leaving nothing out. Section by delicate section. In some instances rinsing off foils before I even finished foiling other parts of her hair.

Afterwards she's was a nice "blorange" color. I used Guy Tangs color line using violet metallics and created this gorgeous brown.

Sabrina said that she's spotted people taking photos of her hair when we only had the purple highlights going (see before photo of old faded purple)
I wonder if it'll be the same with this mermaid color using Joico Color Intense in Indigo and Cobalt.

A Virgin no longer. Grace was bored and needed some low maintenance POP. So we chose Honey blonde highlights!

Not everyone wants ash blonde.

This gorgeous lady just got out of a toxic relationship and wanted bright golden hair to match her bright future.

First we lightened her hair a couple of shades then went in and added soft golden highlights. We removed probably three pounds of hair (no exaggeration).

She claims her hair never curls. Challenge accepted.

Once in a while my client roster rotation falls in such a way that everyone seems to come in all at once and then I'm left with a couple weeks of open space until things spread out again.

This is that couple weeks. Doesn't happen too often...

Well, Stephanie gave it her all. She tried growing her hair out from a pixie but just missed her short hair too much. So we kinda went in between. Plus we added some fun summer highlights with subtle low lights for added dimension and texture. ❤️❤️

Due to the increasing prices in color and all other chemical products from distributors, beginning May 20th my prices for color, highlights, balayage, ombre, sombre, fashion colors, and double process bleach colors will increase. I am always so thankful for all of your loyalty to me and I really struggled with this and have put this off for the better part of 2 years. But the prices keep rising and with all these specialty colors that are in more and more demand, that also take 3-5 hours for total completion this is something any good business would have to do. As always I use the best quality products to give you the best quality results for your money. Prices are as follows: Please add $10 to very long (past shoulders) or very thick hair and $10 if toning is needed.
