Fun Fact Friday!
Did you know that July 3rd- August 11th is sometimes referred to as the "Dog Days of Summer"? A lot of us have heard the phrase before, but what does it mean?
The dog days or dog days of summer are the hot, humid days of summer. They were historically the period following the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius, which Hellenistic astrology connected with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever and.... mad dogs.
With all of the recent thunderstorms, humidity and high temps, we can tell we are right in the middle of the dog days!
What have you been doing to stay cool during these Dog Days of Summer?
