So please go to our new page and like and follow us there to see this morning's video and all of our videos going forward.

We will address the issue of our four-year archive of these videos living on this current page in the near future, but please know that our older videos will also be available for you to watch here on this page.

Hello everyone at Crossroads United Methodist Church and Canton For All People!

If you missed our previous announcement, Crossroads now has its own separate page where we will be posting our weekly videos and information related to the church and its ongoing activities.

We will also post some historical photos from our vast archives. Some interesting photos of our sanctuary and a McKinley Bible class from 1919 have already been posted. If you haven't seen them, go take a look!

This week's regular Crossroads Online video will premiere just as it always does at 10:00 am over on our new page or on our YouTube channel.

Next week is a busy week at Crossroads, with Palm Sunday, an Easter Egg hunt, Maundy Thursday dinner/service at Harmont and a shared Good Friday service at St Paul's Episcopal Church just down the street. This service will feature a combined choir from our two churches, and it will be preceded at 6:30 pm by a procession of the cross from here at Crossroads over to St Paul's.

We hope to see all of you for these services and activities, and of course for the celebration of Easter on March 31.

Our newly acquired Gibbs building was used for so much good over the years. As a staple of the neighborhood, it served as a food pantry, a hot meal site, a safe space for children to go after school, a community garden, a summer learning space, and more.

Do you live in the Gibbs neighborhood? Were you someone who benefited from Canton Calvary Mission’s programs in the community? How would you like to see the building used in the next 5 years, 10 years, and beyond? We want to hear YOUR DREAMS. 🌈💙

Neighbors, elected officials, and community partners are invited to join us on Friday, March 22 from 5:30-7:00PM for a Dream Session. The evening will include dinner, a time of prayer, and a community discussion.

⭐️ Dinner is free and the event is open to all. Please register so we have a food count. Register at: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx...

Hello everyone at Crossroads United Methodist Church and Canton For All People!

You are all invited to like and follow our brand new page for Crossroads United Methodist Church.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue to post information about the church and our latest weekly videos both here on this page you're reading now and also on our new Crossroads page. After that, our videos and all our latest news and updates will be posted solely to our new page.

If you missed our Crossroads Online video from this past Sunday morning, it is now posted on our new page.

We also have future plans to update our website so that you can more easily access our four years of video archives which will still live here on this Canton For All People page. Our videos feature Pastor Don's and Pastor Mike's sermons as well as music from myself, Beth Polen, Mike, Don and others going back to 2020. We also have a YouTube channel which contains most of these videos.

Our new Crossroads page will allow us to do some more interesting things, such as post pictures from our vast archives. In fact, there is a great picture from June, 1919 of a very well-attended men's Bible class that you can go look at in our photo albums right now.

We will keep you posted on what's happening for Holy Week and Easter on both of these pages.

Thanks for your patience and understanding during this transitional time, and please go like and follow our new page today!

Charita Goshay: Conditions at Victory Square Apartments qualify as criminal 01/28/2024

We continue to push for change and rehouse as many residents as possible but HUD needs to release the vouchers it has promised residents for months and further pursuit of justice towards the ownership of Victory Square must continue. Tenants continue to face inhuman conditions, and it is incumbent upon our community and its leaders to never tolerate the existence of this kind of evil.

The tenants of Victory Square have been tremendously courageous in spite of the circumstances and their leadership has been remarkable. In the midst of these challenges we have seen neighbors look out for each other, prioritizing the exit of young mothers, children, and older residents despite their own hardships. These acts of care and love have been a light in the mess of this situation. Change must come now for these residents, and all residents who endure similar conditions in other buildings that remain unseen by the broader community.

Charita Goshay: Conditions at Victory Square Apartments qualify as criminal Columnist Charita Goshay writes that the conditions at Victory Square Apartments in Canton only add to the tenants' struggles.
