We’re thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a Lowe's Hometowns project! TWi is one of just 100 nonprofits nationwide to receive a grant to make physical improvements to our building as a part of Lowe’s largest-ever community impact program.

Our project, taking place at TWi West, will revitalize a portion of our well-loved building – improving accessibility while paving the way for future growth.

Over the past two years we’ve worked with The Improvaneer Method to train TWi staff and implement Improvaneer methodologies into our programming! Why improv? Improvisation enhances a variety of skills including problem solving, self-confidence, eye-contact, teamwork, listening, and focus…. plus it’s a lot of fun!

"I could write 100 pages, and still have words to describe how outstanding Jeanie is. Simply put, Jeanie goes above & beyond in all that she does. Her love for those we serve is both genuine and abundant. Throughout her time with TWi, Jeanie has worked in nearly every service area and building. She is selfless and amazing in every role she steps into.

Jeanie identifies opportunities to do something more or different, she comes up with a plan to turn ideas and dreams into reality for those we serve. In her words, “if I can do it, why shouldn’t the people we support be able to?” She is dedicated to bringing the community – and even communities far away – within reach of those we support. Jeanie doesn’t just enrich the lives of those she serves – she also enriches the lives of her co-workers. She has taught each one of us that positivity can make even the darkest of days a little brighter. Jeanie sees the best in everyone she meets and does all that she can to help those around her succeed.

Jeanie has always been willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure those we support live full and happy lives. Jeanie makes TWi a better provider. When TWI has a need for support, we can always count on her. TWi is truly lucky to have Jeanie on our team.
