I've loved creating things ever since I was young, drawing or coloring with my mom started it all. I love using bright colors in my art to convey energy and life! A college dropout, being shy, figuring out I was gay, were hurdles I went through. But here I am putting myself out there with my art, growing as a person. Dwight Jellison is a Canton based self-taught stencil artist. He began painting with stencils at the age of 15. His original stencils were primarily painted on glass and incorporated one or two layers. Over the past several years he has focused more and more of his effort on creating more detailed stencils with complicated layering. Many of Dwight's stencils and paintings are based on student activists, classic pieces of art, wildlife (owls), Celtic/tribal imagery, and occasionally pop culture personalities. Dwight can be found on IG as .by.dip and on Facebook as Dwightjellison. He lives in Jackson, Twp with his wife and their daughter's cat.
