Our largest order ever going out in style!
Pleased to announce some new developments, starting with our new look! Some sleek, vinyl decals to spruce up the motorhead on high-gloss Snow White Awl-Grip paint. Awl-Grip is the marine industry's highest quality paint, used on Luxury Yacht hulls, and now protecting Ray Outboards to prevent chipping, scratching, and fading from UV damage.
So what is one to do when you already have electric boating's best prop? You make it better, of course! Our prop is now sprayed with a ceramic coating, and heat-cured for maximum adhesion to our Marine-Grade Aluminum. Known as Cerakote, it is harder than anodizing, blueing, powder, or gel coats. The salt and corrosive-resistant properties keep any growth from developing, and your boat running smoothly for years!
Finally, we've improved our patented air-cooling system to increase air flow to 850cfm! Not only does this keep the electronics significantly cooler, it also deters any dust or debris from corroding inside the Motor; extending the overall life-time, keeping it quieter, and reducing maintenance headaches.
We're proud to have developed the original Electric Outboard over 40 years ago, and look forward to innovating it for 40 more!

Another successful Freight Day Friday! We certainly earned our weekend by working our butts off to ensure these Outboards will be providing pollution-free boating for their new owners, and protecting our waterways. It couldn't have been done without this kick-ass team, which our newest member has already started referring to as "The Varsity Squad" 😆 Welcome aboard Andrew Watters!
Andrew (in the NASA shirt) is a Navy Veteran with a background in Information Technology as an E-5. To say this is a "Perfect Match" might be an understatement! We are thrilled to have him and proud that we can provide another Veteran with a job opportunity, who knew that the Air Force and Navy could get along so well?

Shout out to Doug Ray and Danny Mendez for putting in the extra time and effort on a (HOT) Saturday during our peak sales month! Now we are ready with painted and finished parts, as well as the crates needed to ship out Motors next week, going to new Ray Outboard owners across the country!

Happy Friday, we made it to the end of the week! Hope everyone is excited for Memorial Day Weekend as much as we are. From all of us at RayEO, thank you to all Veterans who have served, and we pay our respects to all those who passed in the line of duty. A special remembrance goes out to Morton Ray, the founder of this great company, who retired from the Army as Lieutenant Colonel and sadly passed away in 2018: you are truly missed Mort!

RayEO’s Story
Back in the early 70’s Morton Ray began creating a new idea for a motor that ran entirely on primary electric power, built to last’ and with enough power to push any recreational boat. Before then, electric motors only existed by converting a gas motor, which resulted in an unreliable and noisy product. With the help of his family, Mort began producing his first motors in the basement of their Northern Virginia home, and by 1980 had patented his final design, and incorporated Ray Electric Outboards at a modern facility in Cape Coral, Florida, where the business still exists today.
Mort’s new Electric Outboard took the boating world by storm, providing the most reliable, quiet, and powerful product the industry had seen before. Even though the design has changed over the past 40+ years, over 90% of Ray Motors are still in service today. Sadly, Mort has passed, but the company and his legacy remains in the hands of the next generation of the Ray family, and the loyal employees who regarded Mort with great respect and esteem.
Although we may be a small operation compared to our competitors, our attention to detail, focus on customer service, and unparalleled design easily outmatches all other electric outboard producers.
