FOUNDATION SUPPORTS ADULT LITERACY - The Foundation is pleased to announce the award of a Community Giving Week Grant to the Carlsbad Literacy Program! The program serves adults in need of reading and/or English as a Second Language tutoring in either one-on-one or group settings. Volunteers are always welcome. Call the program at (575) 885-1752.
The Foundation awarded the grant from the Vonetta Lingle Memorial Fund.
Carlsbad Literacy Program would like to thank the Carlsbad Community Foundation for its consideration and support. Thank you for the recognition to a nonprofit who continues to strive to provide Adult Literacy to the citizens of Carlsbad, surrounding areas, and Eddy County.

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REMAINS OPEN UNTIL JUNE 30, 2024! Construction? Nursing? Physical Therapy? Education? Physics? No matter what your field of study, we are offering scholarships for South Eddy County residents (Carlsbad, Loving, Otis, Malaga, Queen) who are either continuing their studies or returning to studies. Scholarships will be available for both academic and vocational fields. A listing of available scholarships and the online application will be available until June 30, 2024 at www.carlsbadfoundation.org!

Why America Fails Adults Who Struggle to Read The nationās approach to adult education has so far neglected to connect the millions of people struggling to read with the programs set up to help them.
Carlsbad Literacy Program is excited to share this event with the Community! The 3rd Annual Color Run fundraiser will be this Saturday, April 27th, at the Beach Bandshell and Pavilion. Participants ages 10 and under are free! Runners 10 and up, to participate, there is a $20 donation. There are options for everyone this Saturday. Please like and share!!!
We are reaching out to the community for those who might be looking at how to make a difference. Something as simple as tutoring or volunteering a few hours per week. Every little moment helpsā¦take that step and contact us to see what you can do!
