Canopus lake beach and all NY state park swimming facilities will have free entry today and tomorrow. Canopus Beach is now open 7 days a week for the rest of the summer. Opening hours 9 am to 6 pm. Consession stand is closed until further notice.

Winter park will be open 4/16 from 9 to 430. Approx 50% of trails are open.
Conditions are very thin espically in the woods trails. Good skiing can still be had in fields, beach and campground areas.
Skiing snowshoeing and tubing are open. Ski snowshoe and tube rentals are available.
Cafe open with hot food snacks and drinks.

If forecast plays out as predicted we will be closed Sunday but tentatively plan to open Monday on limited terrain. Please check back Sunday for updates. Forecast is calling for 6 to 10 inches falling between 4pm Saturday and 4 pm Sunday. Heaviest snowfall 6am to 4 pm sunday.

Canopus Recreation Area will be open this holiday weekend from 9-6 weather permitting! We will be open weekends only until June 18th when we go full time, 7 days a week until Labor Day. Hours will still remain 9-6 weather permitting!
