CONTRACT TO HIRE (13 weeks)
PAY: $23.50 per hour
SHIFT: 3-2-2-3 rotating shift
LOCATION: Lafayette, IN

Responsibilities:
Complete process control documentation.
Change tooling and dies on industrial machinery.
Report any product or machine defects to supervision.
Inspect machinery, complete changeovers, and inspect finished product.
Requirements:

1-2 years within a machine operator role is required.
Experience within a manufacturing setting is required.

We are hiring full time maintenance technicians on our off shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Skills
• Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
• In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
• Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
Education and Experience Requirements
• Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications
• 5 or more years’ experience working as a maintenance technician.

Aegis Worldwide is currently recruiting Machine Operators for our manufacturing client who is located in the Plainfield, IN area. Our client has a great organizational culture, with most team members employed 20+ years.

We are searching for candidates who are open to being trained and who have some experience in manufacturing or machine operating.

These are 2nd shift openings (4pm - 12:30am), contract-to-hire with pay increase & great benefits once converted to full time employee.

Please read below for a list of technical responsibilities:
• Analyze and understand work orders.
• Load raw materials into machines, punch dimensions that need to be cut and check accuracy.
• Utilize measuring equipment, micrometers, and calipers to check for quality.
• Load material onto pallets for the movement and packaging of products.
Job Requirements:
• Experience with manufacturing machinery.
• Experience using measuring equipment, micrometers, and calipers is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
