What an amazing experience to host Joe “Tiger” Patrick! We had a beautiful discussion about why the walk is so important to Tiger. We honored Carmel’s own lost son Chris Hudson. We were honored to be a part of his send off. During his presentation, Tiger presented our Commander Darin Bibeau a coin in appreciation of our hospitality. A letter to Chris’s mother was read by our Auxiliary Senior Vice President that was touching and reduced the reader to tears. We thank the members and private citizens who attended today. What we do is important, veterans are important, you are important.
Come join us for the best breakfast in town!!!
Special guest in the house Tiger Patrick!!! Great crew great food great times!!! Come on in and enjoy.

Carmel – The former Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Rhode
Island State Commander will be hiking to all three Sept. 11 crash sites this summer. In his possession,
he’ll be carrying a recently completed memorial panel featuring more than 7,051
service men and women who lost their lives in the Global War Against Terrorism.
To start his historic walk Joe “Tiger” Patrick will walk from Indianapolis to Louisville for
annual Veteran of Foreign Wars National Convention later this month. The memorial
panel will be on display all week of the convention. “It was important to start my walk
to honor the fallen in Indianapolis as the city is home to the most veteran monuments
in one city in the county, outside of DC. I love this area!”
Patrick hopes to welcome Gold Star Families, service members, and the general
public to view the recently completed memorial panel. The event will allow
everyone to hear more about Patrick’s next ruck mission, and learn about the
fallen soldiers killed in the line of action during the 20 year war.
“It’s actually the first time the Memorial Panel will be displayed to the general
public,” according to Patrick. Before this, it had only been briefly displayed at
South Kingstown’s Memorial Day Parade.
Prior to the Public display on Saturday, Patrick will volunteer at Gleaners 3737 Waldemere Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46241 from 12:30 to 2:30.
The presentational event will be taking place at VFW Post 10003 in Carmel at 12863 Old Meridian St
this Saturday, July 13, from 8-11am with a potential return from 4-6pm. The event is free and open to the public,
though donations are welcome

Rain or shine: Fourth of July celebrations thrive Despite the pouring rain, Hoosiers refused to let it dampen their spirits as they gathered to celebrate freedom and unity across Indiana.
We wanted to thank everyone that showed up today and supported the VFW. We had our greatest turnout in history for 50/50 and treasure hunt to donations. Everybody came out and supported the VFW and veterans the way they should. The Post would love to give a special recognition and thank you to our Honor Guard, a fantastic group of humans. We couldn’t be more thankful and we can’t wait until tomorrow when you’re all back again, thank you .
Guess who just landed……..🤗
