L’shanah tovah! Wishing you a sweet new year to all of our brothers celebrating Rosh Hashanah (literally, “Head of the Year” in Hebrew, this is the Jewish New Year). Rosh Hashanah is the first of the High Holy Days in the Jewish faith and we hope the following days provides peace and time for contemplation for all those observing them.
We wish a very happy Father’s Day to all of our members and the fathers/father figures in their lives!
Happy #FlagDay! It was on this day in history that the Continental Congress approved the design of the US flag in 1777. To date, there have been twenty-seven official versions of the flag, but the arrangement of the stars varied according to the flag-makers’ preferences until 1912 when President Taft standardized the then-new flag’s forty-eight stars into six rows of eight. The forty-nine-star flag (1959-60), as well as the fifty-star flag, also have standardized star patterns. The current version of the flag dates to July 4, 1960, after Hawaii became the fiftieth state on August 21, 1959. (Source: Library of Congress)

We want to be able to have safe events, full stadiums, serve our communities, and lots of opportunities to connect with friends old and new. The best way to do that is to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and encourage others to do the same. Vaccination, in addition to current public health guidelines like hand washing and masks, is the best way to keep our community safer and get back to the familiar.
