Greater Hope Restoration Ministries is a non-denominational church founded to help restore hope.
Now that our Summer Camp has officially ended and our staff is getting some much needed rest, we wanted to share with you some highlights of some of our favorite moments from camp. We also want to take time to say "thank you" to The United Way, The Pittsburgh Foundation and our amazing friends at The Carnegie Boys and Girls Club for partnering with us to help to make our camp a wonderful experience for our children. We could not have done it without your support. Thanks to Winifred Love and Lisa and Mike Lisk who supported us in so many ways and who gave to help feed our children during the camp session. Thanks to all of the parents, grandparents and families who supported us by enrolling your children and walking with them through their camp journey. Thanks to all of our amazing instructors, Will Bigham, Carolyn Ross, Josie Consentino, Salim Graham, Candace Perdue who all taught our children with passion, love and professionalism. And lastly, a very special thanks to our wonderful staff, Theresa Baker, Tyonna Singleton, DeJeana Harrell, Marsha Seaton, Tiana Ballinger, Aushenay Hudson, Tonami Jones and Irene Hudson who worked so amazingly well together to bring it all together and to keep it together. AND, we had SO MUCH FUN doing it together. We now look forward to greater opportunities to serve our communities within the next few months and ask that you continue to pray for GHRM.

t's been over a year since Greater Hope Restoration Ministries had our last outdoor outreach event. So we excited to be back at it doing what we have been commissioned to do. This time we are also adding some fun things for our kiddos too with a bounce house and face painting. Meet us at the Carnegie Boys and Girls Club lower level parking lot on June 23rd as we pray for our community as well as offer free hair cuts, blood pressuring screenings and so much more for to the community. "Church" is only a place for Sundays or for weekly Bible Studies. It's also a body of like minded (Christ minded) people who love you and are there for you in your minute, hour, week, month, year(s) of need. God has given us so many shoulders to cry on. We don't have to go through this life alone. If you don't have a home church, we invite you to connect with us to love on you and to pour into your life. While we are in transition to our building we have Bible Study Tuesdays at 7pm at The Boys and Girls Club in Carnegie Pa. Consider this your formal invitation into the GHRM family. See you Tuesday.

The Lord has been pressing on my heart for several weeks to share with the GHRM family the importance of understanding what it means to truly repent. There is a real difference in believing (Faith) and Repenting and knowing the difference will help us to be ones who are truly saved. I will be teaching a Six (6)-week series on this subject beginning Sunday May 19th at 7:00 p.m. LIVE on our GHRM Virtual Church page. This page is private and can't be found through searching for it so anyone that joins must be invited to do so. Many of us are "victims" of our circumstances because we feel powerless to do anything to change it. But the Lord wants us to change our mentality from victim to victor by knowing that we an do all things through Christ which strengthens us.
Join us every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Carnegie Boys and Girls Club for our Community Bible Study. This study is open to everyone who wants to study and discuss the the word in a non-judgmental environment. (church membership not required) Let's strengthen each other in the word of God. Some of us feel like we are so empty that we have nothing left to give out to anybody. Naomi felt that way after she had lost everything in Moab. Don't question God! This is what we were told. However, if we don't ask questions, how will we get the right answers concerning our lives and the plans that the Lord has for us? The Lord is not intimidated nor angered when we question Him. He wants us to ask. As a matter of fact, He is waiting for us ask so that He can have a conversation with us about the matter in question.
Many of us struggle when it comes to fighting the tendency to worry about conditions and situations that come into our lives. Dr. Cheryl shares with us biblical principles to help us gain control of our heart and our minds as well as ways to combat worry.

Never give up hoping for what you are believing God for. And always remember that in the process of hoping for the manifestation of a thing and during the trials that will come with that process, you will gain the experiences that you will need to steward, have dominion and success in the thing that you are hoping for. This is why you will never be made ashamed because you had hope.

None of us are perfect. So why wait until you are perfect before doing what you have been purposed to do. Learn how to value your flaws instead of seeing them as hinderances. Every church isn’t for everybody so there will be no pressure to “join” however if you believe that you can make a connection to our vision of reaching out to the communities that we serve and striving to do better in life on a daily basis, we will welcome you with opened arms.
