As part of a grant our PTA received last year, we were able to purchase 12 new library books for our students to enjoy this school year! Thank you Scholastic and Reading is FUNdamental Pittsburgh !

Families are invited to come out from 6-9 p.m. July 26 to Kelly Park, 55 Steen Hollow Road, Oakdale, to learn more information about Cub Scout Pack 860. Open to boys and girls! Please bring chairs and a water bottle to watch "Big Hero 6."

Hey everyone!
Watch your email for a volunteer email from the school district for volunteering in the 2024-2025 school year. If you will still be volunteering in the new school year simply complete the affidavit and send it back in by Aug. 1!

This week there will be no free-lunch distribution on Friday, July 5, due to the holiday. Weekend bags will be distributed with the lunches on Wednesday, July 3, at both Carnegie and Crafton Elementary. Also, the Free Store will be open at Carnegie from 11a.m. - 1p.m..

Happy birthday to PTA member Terry Lee!

Terry is married to PTA President Vanessa and they have an incoming fourth grader, Grayson. Terry has been a huge help with Family Reading Night, sharing his love of comic books with our students through a trivia game he created. He was kind enough to also share vintage comic books from his curated collection with them.

Terry also is a regular fixture in our community, serving as a councilman as well as helping with the summer free lunch program. We are lucky to have him around, creating a better school and community!

The Boys & Girls Club of Western PA will be hosting a week-long FREE camp for tweens (ages 11-13) focusing on entrepreneurship. Participants will learn about how to run a business, as well as how businesses exist within communities.
