EXCITING NEWS! THANK YOU, BOY SCOUTS. Helping Eagle Scout candidate Jacob Kaltz, a volunteer at the Historical Society since 2017 when he was ten, Boy Scout Troop 148-Crafton along with parents and volunteers cleared weeds and dead shrubs from the side of our headquarters, the Husler Building, to make room for a new sunflower garden and pollinator plants which will support Carnegie’s Monarch Butterfly Initiative. The Historical Society is appreciative of this important work. The Society also thanks the Borough’s public works department and for input from the Carnegie Shade Tree Commission. This is another effort to enhance the charming Main Street experience.

The Historical Society invites you to visit us in the registered landmark Husler Building on West Main Street at the Flower Mural Bridge over the Chartiers Creek.
Ask about our ancestry research capacity and our extensive community files including families, businesses, churches, schools, yearbooks, politics, entertainment, sports, railroads, mills and mines, floods and fires. Observe and join in the preservation efforts of donated historical acquisitions and much more.

2. THE HONUS WAGNER MUSEUM is dedicated to the Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer, “The Flying Dutchman”. This enhanced exhibit features photo-ops with game-played memorabilia and free souvenirs.
3. “MINIATURE MAIN STREET-CARNEGIE REMEMBERED”, is a 75-foot, hand-crafted wooden diorama of Carnegie’s business district in the ‘40s and ‘50s built over a ten-year period for Carnegie’s 100th anniversary in 1994.
