Many thanks to Pastor Andrew Matthews and Kelly McAndrew with Kure Beach First Baptist Church for continuing to support our teachers and staff with a Wednesday snack cart. These amazingly generous folks have been partnering with Carolina Beach Elementary School for three years and we appreciate the extra love we receive every week from their volunteers. Who wouldn't want a mid-morning snack pick me up from these smiling faces!

There is no school on Monday as we celebrate the Labor Day holiday. Have a safe and happy three-day weekend.

Today is our last staggered start day for our kindergarten Sea Stars. It's been wonderful meeting them as they've toured the building meeting our staff. Friday morning they will all be in class together for the first time and we can't wait to see their sweet smiling faces!
Guidance Counselor, Magen Myers, hosted Tears and Cheers for our new parents. Family members made signs and cards for their kindergarteners to see when they get home from their first day of school.

New media specialist, Mrs. Boos, presented Nola with a jar of bookworms! Nola's guess was closest to the number of gummy worms so she won the entire jar!

Thank you to our Carolina Beach & Kure Beach Community for your continued generosity to our sweet island school. The school supplies are always needed and appreciated. It's going to be a wonderful year!

Parents and rising kindergarten students are invited to a play date on Tuesday, June 11 from 1:00 to 2:00 on our playground.

Painting and popsicles at the American Legion on June 14 from 1:00 to 4:00.

As our year ends, we send our Sea Stars off into summer with smiles, cheers, and endless wet well wishes!
Thanks to our students for filling our halls with laughter, music, art, curiosity, and energy. Your hard work and enthusiasm have made this year unforgettable. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, staff, volunteers and families for the invaluable support and community partnerships that strengthen our school. Have a fantastic summer! We look forward to seeing you in August.

Our parents, students, staff, Carolina Beach Police Department, and the Carolina Beach Fire Department, took part in the annual last day of school water balloon show down.

Today we celebrated the achievements of our incredible 5th-grade students! We are so proud of our sea star's accomplishments this school year and we are excited to see the amazing things they will achieve in middle school.

Students will dismiss at 12 noon tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5.
Our car rider line will begin at 11:45.
