Carrollton Senior Center
Mission Statement: To Provide Comprehensive Diverse Leisure Programs and Facilities Enhancing the Quality of Life of our Citizens.
The Carrollton Senior Center opened in 1977 but moved to our current facility in January of 2000. The facility is located at 220 West Avenue, which is behind the Stallings Community Center. The facility is open every Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Senior Adults over the age of fifty-five that come to the Senior Center can participate in programs such as computers, line dancing, water aerob

Today we attended the Shrine Circus at Jim R Miller Park in Marietta. They did a great job and it was very entertaining! 🐘 🤡 🎪 
What a nice day for a tour of the Carrollton Greenbelt. It is such a treasure in our community. Thank you City of Carrollton for taking our seniors on a fun and informative golf cart ride today. 🌳 ☀️
Our very own “West Georgia Silver Liners” did a fantastic job line dancing for us this morning. They even added a cute skit at the end of their routine. Free line dance classes are offered to members on Tuesday and Thursday mornings thanks to our wonderful volunteer instructors. 💃 🎶
The 13th Annual Senior Prom was held last night and it was a success! Thank you to everyone that helped with the event and those that attended. It was a fun evening!
We had a great turn out today at the annual West Georgia Council on Aging Spring Fling with over 500 people in attendance. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We are looking forward to the Thanksgiving Fellowship on November 17th! 🎶 🕺
Our first overnight trip since COVID was a success! This awesome group enjoyed a four day trip to Florida to visit Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Amelia Island. 🏖 ☀️
Congratulations to all of the winners at the BINGO supper last night! About 70 people attend and after BINGO a delicious spaghetti dinner was served.

We had a fun time at our annual Christmas Party today. Everyone in attendance won a door prize. 🎄
Thank you to everyone that attended breakfast with Santa this morning. After breakfast participants enjoyed cookie decorating, music, arts and crafts, numerous games and even a visit from Santa Clause! It was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! 🎄 🎁
Thank you to Vicki and Marilyn from the Carroll County Master Gardners for helping our seniors make wreaths today. They loved it!
November 18th was the annual West Georgia Council on Aging’s Thanksgiving Fellowship. There was great music played by the Lard Bucket band, vendor tables, dancing, door prizes, a delicious turkey and dressing meal served and great fellowship together.
Thank you Temple High School FFA and the West Georgia Council on Aging for the sweet potatoes! What a treat!
We had a great “behind the scenes” tour of the University of West Georgia today. The group got to tour the School of Nursing, Biology Building, Ingram Library and the University Campus Center. It sure has changed a lot over the years.
