Went through Trenton, TX, and thanks to googling it led us to a fantastic bbq place on our way to Broken Bow. Our haul cost us just $20! 1/4 lb of some smokey meatloaf, two meat plate with brisket, sausage, bacon ranch potato salad, and bacon green beans. 🤤🤤🤤

We spied on the pitmaster (didn't catch his name) but all was seen was salt and pepper and some sexy pits named after some 1920s babes, Bertha and Mildred I believe. Very friendly family place and some really great BBQ in the middle of no where. Will stop again! -AJ

Prime rib for Thanksgiving Eve!
We rubbed it with a little oil, salt, and pepper. I used a sous vide to cook it overnight (approx. 8 hours) and took it off. When we were ready to eat it we put it in the oven at 450 until the rib reached 100 degrees.

I am very blessed to be able to afford food, cook food, practice cooking food, etc. But my eyes were opened to several Facebook friends where they openly stated they couldn't afford thanksgiving meals this year and past years. Just makes me think.
Who else around us won't have a meal on Thanksgiving or any other day? So please share information on your social media accounts where people can find food but might be ashamed to ask!

Salvation Army Serving Thanksgiving Day Meals To Needy In Dallas And Fort Worth The meals, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. next Thursday, include turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, yams, fresh rolls and pumpkin pie.

Our 7th place brisket was undoubtedly amazing!
Fun story of the evening is we kept having a group next to us coming over and grabbing samples for their families. No problem. They had many great things to say. But they ended up getting 1st in brisket! I wish they would have shared!

This year at the Camp Craig Allen BBQ Competiton we did amazing! This year's competition involved 30 teams around the DFW area. We were happy to place

5th in Chicken
7th in Brisket
7th in the open meat category (Truffle Oil Lamb Chops)
