Aloha! Last night was an epic Luau dinner and fund raiser for the Elks New Years Eve Party! Thank you First Lady Res, Annette, Marty, and all kitchen helpers and bartenders! From the food, Tiki Tacky Hawaiian shirt contest, Hula contest, raffle prizes, Limbo contest, live music by Antique Garage, this event was very enjoyable. Even our First Lady gave several performances of Hula! Thank you all Elks who attended.
What a great time on August 23rd for a dinner fund raiser for Veterans. Thank you Chef Brenda and volunteers that made this a great success!

Thanks to all the volunteers from donations, cashier, organization and cleanup for the Indoor Garage Sale! Carson City Elks 2177 raised $2,000 for Holiday with a Hero event. This could not have been possible without your support!
Carson City Elks Lodge #2177 Fundraiser Generates $9400 for Night Off
On Jan. 26 the Carson City Elks Lodge again held the Flannel & Frost fundraiser for Night Off The Streets (NOTS), the Carson City warming center a 501 (c) 3.
NOTS offers the homeless a safe, warm place to sleep rotating between five churches from November thru March. They also refer the unhoused to various services available in Carson City to help improve their living circumstances.
Over one hundred people attended the event which included dinner, numerous raffle prizes, and Karaoke.

With all the food and raffle prizes being donated the entire proceeds from the event went to NOTS which totaled $9,400.00.
The Carson City Elks and NOTS thank all those wonderful companies and individuals that donated prizes.

Fri. 2/2: Dinner hosted by Cathy McDonnell starting at 6pm and only $12. Menu: Pasta, meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Only 30 tickets will be sold. Buy them at the bar.
Sat. 2/3: Carson City Wine Walk 1-5.
Fri. 2/9: Mardi Gras Dinner hosted by Kim Perondi at 6pm and only $15. Menu: Choice of Muffuletta or Shrimp Po Boy with Jambalaya and King Cake for dessert. Daiquiris and Hurricane drink specials at the bar. New Orleans music by Marty. Only 50 tickets will be sold. Purchase tickets at the bar.
Sun. 2/11: Elks Breakfast 8am-10am. $10.00.
Mon. 2/12: Free Veteran's Breakfast 8am. Donations accepted.
Tues. 2/13: Elks Meeting at 7pm.
Fri. 2/16: Blue Pig Dinner Party Fundraiser/State Major Project - St. Jude Kids Ranch at 5pm. Wear your blue vest and lodge pins. We have a contest for your blue pig: Pig by the pound; richest pig; cutest decorated; lowest weight-most $$$. Elk Members Pulled Pork Competition - People's Choice. Sample Taste of each prior to dinner to vote for your favorite. Menu: Pulled Pork Sliders, cole slaw, BBQ beans, cookies and ice cream. Cost: Free with $$ filled Blue Pig. $15 for no Blue Pig or Guest. There will be a 50/50 Raffle as well. Sign up now at the bar if you plan on attending.
Fri. 2/23: Dinner hosted by Emblem 6pm for just $10.00. Menu: Lasagna, bread, salad, and dessert. Tickets on sale at the bar after 2/6.

Carson City Elks donate $2,500 'Gratitude Grant' to FISH revitalization project The Carson City Elks' $2,500 Gratitude Grant this year went to Friends in Service Helping, also known as FISH, to fund the furnishing of one of the 36 apartments built to house clients while they pursue transitional training to get out of poverty.

Mon. Jan 8th: Veterans Breakfast. Free to Veterans but donations are always accepted.

Starting Wed. Jan 10th and every Monday and Wednesday afternoons, Free Exercise Classes.
Fri. Jan. 12th: Birthday Dinner at 6pm. Free to October, November, and December birthdays. Must get your free ticket from bar. Only 15 free tickets. 35 $12 for others. Italian Feast.

Fri. Jan. 19th: Emblem Club Chili Cook Off at 4:30 with dinner at 5:30. Sign up sheet at the bar. $10 for dinner. There will be a Silent Auction.

Fri. 12/22: Trashy Snack Night at 5:30pm. Bring your favorite trashy snack or appetizer to share. There will be an ugly sweater contest, raffle prizes, games, Karaoke, and drink specials at the Bar.
Tues. 12/26: NO Elks Meeting.

Happy Nevada Day to all Elk Members and their families! Be sure to be on the lookout for our Elks float in the Nevada Day Parade on Saturday. We are entry #58. The Lodge will be open in the morning before the parade and bar opens at 10am. Stop by before the parade for coffee and doughnuts. Please use side door off Robinson St. until bar opens. We will be serving food from 10am-2pm.
