Being a social worker is rewarding, heartfelt, and at times challenging work. Social workers are often a support for other people; let’s create the space to support each other as well. This brand new support group, co-chaired by GASW president Essy Knopf, will provide a space for LGBTQ+ social work students and professionals to share personal experiences and thoughts/feelings regarding any topic that is on our minds. This month’s support group is open to all and NASW-CA membership is not required to attend. We will meet on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 7-8:00 pm on Zoom. Please note: starting in November 2021 we will meet consistently on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 7-8:00 pm on Zoom. To register please go to www.naswca.org and click on "Events."
