It's Slime Time! 💚
Our Main Street members got their hands messy with a fun slime activity. Want to make slime at home? Here are simple instructions to make kid-friendly slime.
Materials:
1/2 cup of white school glue (like Elmer's)
1/2 cup of water
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of saline solution (contact lens solution)
Optional: food coloring or glitter
Instructions:
1. Mix Glue and Water: In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of white school glue with 1/2 cup of water. Stir until well mixed.
2. Add Baking Soda: Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to the glue mixture and stir until it's fully dissolved. This helps to thicken the slime.
3. Add Color (Optional): If you want colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring or a pinch of glitter, and mix well.
4. Add Saline Solution: Slowly add 1 tablespoon of saline solution to the mixture while stirring. The slime will start to form immediately.
5. Knead the Slime: Once the slime begins to pull away from the bowl, use your hands to knead it. Keep kneading until it reaches the desired consistency.
Now Enjoy! 🥳
