Kicking off semester 2 on a high note! Our candidates are excited about their Cycle 3 results for the new state performance assessment, CalAPA, and gearing up for Cycles 1 and 2! They also engaged in rich discussions around equity, social justice, and critical pedagogy as they made connections with Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed, the 1963 Birmingham Children’s March, and our SLP framework. A beautiful day of learning and continuing their leadership journey! ✊🏼🙌🏼

We also documented strategies that successful schools have adopted—such as restorative justice—that promote a positive school climate and reduce the use of suspension."
