Our hearts are broken. Our International President Tom Conway has passed away today at age 71.
Elected as the union’s president in 2019, Conway was known for his quick wit, formidable bargaining skills and unwavering devotion to workers and their families.
“From his earliest time making steel to his steady hand leading us through the darkest days of the pandemic, Tom followed two simple guiding principles: the dignity of work and the power of working people,” said David R. Members at Phillips 66 answered todays call to action and rallied for a fair contract!
This morning hundreds of our members from Marathon Carson and other local refineries came together to let Marathon know we’re ready to FIGHT for a fair contract!
You have all seen the economic proposal from the national table. A three year contract with 1% raises each year.
Marathon, the industry spokesperson also delivered a speech about oil workers being overpaid.
We didn't work from home during the pandemic. We showed up & kept our facilities running!
If you are able to, come to tomorrow mornings rally and tell Marathon we deserve a FAIR CONTRACT NOW!

Essential workers have no choice but to show up for work in person during the pandemic - and they deserve to have paid sick leave. Tell our CA leaders that they must extend paid sick leave NOW to protect all workers and our families.
