It looks like the Jheri Curls are back with a different name and price tag of approximately $1,000.00 plus. Wow! If you are an old school stylist from back in the day, you are familiar with the process. Just keep in mind, you are relaxing your natural curl to achieve chemically curls… I know from my experience that hair grows after this process. Today, natural hair without chemicals is the new take. Instead of using the wet look activator, you can now use leave in conditioner. What do you think?

Who Was Madam C.J. Walker? Madam C.J. Walker invented a line of African American hair products after suffering from a scalp ailment that resulted in her own hair loss. She promoted her products by traveling around the country giving lecture-demonstrations and eventually established Madame C.J. Walker Laboratories to manufacture cosmetics and train sales beauticians.

Her business acumen led her to be one of the first American women to become a self-made millionaire. She was also known for her philanthropic endeavors, including a donation toward the construction of an Indianapolis YMCA in 1913.

How many of you abide by this? Well, I admit growing up hearing this and 100% certain it was passed on from generation to generation.

Is this done in Beauty Salons? Definitely not burning hair in my salon, but if you ask for your cut hair, you shall receive it. Do you (the client) ask for your cut hair at the salon to take home and burn? Just curious….🤔
