🏅 Brad Spear, who works at Cypress Creek High School in Wesley Chapel, FL, received the Lifesaver Recognition for his heroic actions in saving a life during an emergency. Along with another athletic trainer, Brad administered compressions, rescue breathing, and AED shocks, ensuring the person was responsive before EMS arrived.

🏅 Katie Falis, who works at Anclote High School in Holiday, FL, was named the Secondary School Athletic Trainer of the Year for her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional care for her student-athletes. Katie ensures her athletes have access to high-quality care, coordinating priority appointments with physicians.

This recognition celebrates not only Brad and Katie’s achievements but also their unwavering commitment to health, safety, and excellence in their field. Their work exemplifies the significant impact athletic trainers have on the lives of those they serve.

Tom has been coming to our Hilton Head clinic for six weeks, and his hard work has paid off! After a back injury, his goal was to get back to working on his Harley and '89 Corvette. "There is a lot of bending, stretching, and body control needed to reach the parts that need attention; however, I was able to get everything done. I had no pain and felt great the day after! I could not have done this without considerable discomfort 12 weeks ago," Tom explains. Today, he's pain-free, back to doing what he loves, and ready to ride! 🏍️💪

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, and we are excited to celebrate the transformative care our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide to our patients.

Our SLPs help patients of all ages overcome various speech and communication challenges, from learning to speak to regaining communication abilities after a stroke. They also address swallowing deficits to help patients eat safely and efficiently. It's been an exciting few weeks as the official physical therapy partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! We've had a blast staying active with the team during the off-season. A highlight was the sixth Buccaneers Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic, the country's largest tournament of its kind. With 109 teams from across Florida competing, it showcased the top flag football talent in the southeast. 🏈

It's inspiring to see flag football gaining recognition on the national level, specifically with its recent addition to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. The Bucs have consistently led the way among NFL franchises in promoting women's participation in sports, and we're proud to support initiatives like these that promote health, wellness, and inclusivity in the communities we serve.
