THURSDAY PRAYER: Pray With Me Now - Gracious and Merciful Father, we magnify Your most Holy and precious name! Today, some of us continue to struggle with so many life issues. Even as we try to praise You, we are tormented by thoughts of past situations that have left us completely broken and have stolen our inner peace. We again bow before You in desperation because, even when we try to think positive thoughts, we are facing continuous attacks by the enemy. A CLOSING THOUGHT: Recent blessings and “miracles” that I have experienced and observed by others lets me know just how powerful praying can be. Sometimes the power of prayer cannot be explained, but it can be experienced. Occasionally I just wonder what would happen if we turned our Panic into Praise, our Worry into Worship, and our Fear into Fasting … and just step back and let God handle it. Glory to God ... WEDNESDAY PRAYER: "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23). Pray With Me Now - Heavenly Father, thank you for Your unmerited favor and your wonderful grace, which we don’t deserve. Yet You have seen fit to forgive us of our sins. Please help us to forgive our self today and release the burden of sin in our life. Bless our footsteps and guide our thoughts and actions, that these will once again honor and praise You. If we have not yet forgiven … Lord, give us the grace and strength to forgive. Help us to trust again. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen! A CLOSING THOUGHT God gave ALL of us Gifts, and we all should be thankful. Love, Kindness, Compassion, Forgiveness, and Understanding are the most precious of GIFTS that God gives us to share with others. It's up to us to share them! Unfortunately, some people just never opened THEIR GIFT. I challenge all that read this post today to do SOMETHING; Just DO SOMETHING to help someone and share God's love. JUST DO IT! TUESDAY PRAYER: “Bless the Lord, O my soul … and forget not all his benefits; who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). Pray With Me Now - Heavenly Father, some of us, and those we love so dearly, are not feeling well today. But we know that you are the Great Physician. We turn to You in our sickness and ask for your healing. Put your hand upon us and let health and wholeness flow into us. Father, help us remember in this time of vulnerability, our utter dependence on You. “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy come in the morning” (Psalm 30-5). A CLOSING THOUGHT: God designs what we go through in life, but WE decide how we go through it. In any and everything, the best plan begins and ends with a PRAYER. But remember, PRAYER is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when you are in trouble … use it as a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path through out your life. We all have blessings showered on us by God, but sometimes we are too wrapped up in ourselves to notice them. No offense to anyone ... just something to think about. MONDAY PRAYER: "A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense" (Proverbs 19:11). Pray With Me Now - Heavenly Father, You told us to forgive those who hurt us. And yet, we find this hard to do. Father, deliver us from the hateful pleasure of nursing a grudge ... it brings only misery. Instead, help us want to forgive. Then fill our heart with generosity. Make us bigger than our little self. Help us to know the incredible pleasure of reconciliation. A CLOSING THOUGHT: I often ask young people, "What will you do with your life?" Many times, they respond by saying “I don't know." Ultimately, what you do with your life is up to you. However, the attitudes and actions of others can exert much influence on your life. So, it helps to get away from negative situations and put yourself in a more positive and empowering environment. If the people around you are going nowhere, you're very likely to join them. You may want to ask yourself, your children, or your grandchildren... "Who are you hanging out with?" SUNDAY PRAYER: “What a friend we have in Jesus; all our sin and griefs to bear; what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” Pray With Me Now - Heavenly Father, there are times when we think we can turn to loved ones and friends in our time of need, but sometimes they forsake us. Lord, You alone know what we are going through. Sometimes we vocalize our thoughts, but no one seems to understand. There are many times we cry out to people to listen when we need a friend, but they hardly ever take the time to show compassion. A CLOSING THOUGHT: Many of us should pray this prayer today: “God, Grant me the Serenity to accept the THINGS I cannot change, The Courage to change the THING I can, and the Wisdom to know that THING is ME!” Being at peace with yourself is a direct result of finding peace with God. There’s nothing too far gone that God can't restore. When you are DOWN to nothing... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes in the incredible and receives the impossible! "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26) Have a wonderful evening... look in the mirror... and make that CHANGE! SATURDAY PRAYER: Some of us have made wrong choices in our lives, but our past words and deeds need not define our future in God's eyes. A CLOSING THOUGHT: We cannot control life's difficult moments, but we can choose to make life less difficult. We cannot control the negative atmosphere of the world, but we can control the atmosphere of our minds. Too often we try to choose and control things we cannot. Too often we choose to control what we can … our attitude. Life is like trying to get ahead on a busy freeway - focus on the road ahead rather than on the rear-view mirror. That way you will see the opportunities ahead, without being stuck in the traffic of your own past experiences. FRIDAY PRAYER: Pray With Me Now - Heavenly Father, today we choose to step out in Faith wherever we go … for You hold the future and have plans for our lives of good and not evil. A CLOSING THOUGHT: I believe that people come in and out of our lives for a reason. Each person has that special something, that inner light … a smile, a touch, a helping hand, or a listening ear. We are meant to grow as people from the light that we shed on each other. My hopes are that we learn to shed the same light as that of the brightest star of all … Jesus Christ! A CLOSING THOUGHT: Always remember - whatever you are going through, there is nothing greater than the power of God. A CLOSING THOUGHT: Why does bad things happen to "good people?” When you go through something that changes your world completely, you can always turn to the one thing that won't change … God's love for YOU! So, let's not get tired of doing what is good. The God of the good times is still God in the bad times. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up (Galatians 6:9).
