CBF Field Personnel Mina and Gennady Podgaisky have lived and worked in Kyiv, Ukraine for 21 years. In December 2021, they left Ukraine to travel to the United States and were stateside when Russia invaded. Because of the war, they have been unable to return permanently; however, in August of this year, they felt God call them back to Kyiv for a short-term trip. From August until early December, the Podgaiskys will be living and ministering in Kyiv. Their primary goal is to help reopen Kyiv Christian Academy, a school that had been closed for a year due to the war. They are excited to be working with many students, providing hope and aid to people in Kyiv, and sharing the Gospel through a home Bible study. Today, pray for: -a Kindergarten teacher and Music teacher to be hired at Kyiv Christian Academy. -the Podgaiskys home Bible study group. One session recently ended and more people are planning to attend the next session. -the Ukrainian people serving in the military and on the front lines. -the Podgaisky’s personal safety as the war is still going on. -God to use the Podgaiskys to give people hope, encouragement, and aid during the time they are in Ukraine. -Pray for all Ukrainians as they work to process and heal from the trauma of war.
