Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina (WMU NC)
Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina (WMU NC), Nonprofit Organization, 205 Convention Drive, Cary, NC.
Woman’s Missionary Union of North Carolina is a missions organization whose purpose is to challenge, prepare and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Most of the WMU NC Staff plus friends and family had a great time serving at "With Love From Jesus Ministries" in Raleigh today. We sorted, organized, stocked, and managed a clothing and grocery store for Honored Guests to come get what they need at no cost. Before going through the store, every Guest heard a Gospel presentation and had opportunities to pray and have volunteers pray with them. It was a beautiful demonstration of the church coming together to share what they have with those who need it.
ServeNC starts today!
What happens in communities when the church starts moving and acting like Christ? That's what we hope to see this week! From August 3-10, congregations all over North Carolina will be "moving out of their seats and into the streets to make Christ visible."
Let's pray together this week for NC Baptists to represent Jesus well by:
-Demonstrating Radical Hospitality,
-Engaging in respectful, but fearless Gospel conversations,
-Exhibiting Genuine Humility, and
-Living with Divine Anticipation (ServeNC Sermon Outline).
We'd love to know what you are doing for ServeNC Week. Please message us with images and stories we can share about how God moves in your communities.

Ministers' wives from across the state are gathering today for a few days of much-needed rest, rejuvenation, and fellowship. Be in prayer for them this week as they allow God to refill their cups so they can continue serving Him in their unique circumstances.
7 Prayers for a Minister’s Wife
1. Her spiritual growth: Her husband might be a minister, but she is growing in her faith just like every other woman. Pray for her relationship with God to deepen daily through spending time in the Word and prayer.
2. Her marriage: Ministry is wonderful, and also demanding. Pray she would have a healthy, God-centered marriage full of love and good communication.
3. Her children: Like it is for every mom, juggling work, ministry, and parenting is a challenge. Pray for her to have wisdom in parenting, the energy to balance her time, and grace for her kids and herself. Pray for her children's safety, health, and spiritual growth.
4. Her friendships: Being a minister's wife can feel lonely, so pray that she would have deep and meaningful friendships with other women who can support and encourage her.
5. Her self-image: Pray that she finds her identity in what God says of her and not in what is assumed or expected of her.
6. Her physical and emotional health: Ask God to give her energy, strength, peace of mind. and good health to fulfill His calling in her life.
7. Her ministry: One of her callings is to be a godly wife who points her husband to the gospel. Her ministry beyond that may be within the church or outside of it. Pray for ministers’ wives to support their husbands well while having the courage to pursue their God-given callings.
WMU NC is excited to participate in Serve NC, hosted by NC Baptists and Baptists on Mission the week of August 3-10!
This is an opportunity for every congregation(and WMU group) to get outside the walls of their church building and make a hands-on difference in their communities. There's no limit to the impact our churches can have if we all commit to being on mission together!

If you're throwing all your energy into preparing for and hosting VBS in July, know that WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU!
We're also here to help you easily include missions in your VBS experience.
Here are FIVE WAYS TO FOCUS ON MISSIONS AT VBS:
1.) Use Missionary Prayer Calendars during your main worship services. Teach kids that missionaries all over the world plan special events on their birthdays because they know many people will be praying for them.
IMB/NAMB: https://wmu.com/missions-discipleship/prayercalendar/
2.) Get kids involved in missions by having them bring items from home to donate to a local charity or by having them write notes of encouragement to nursing home residents, local first responders, or teachers who will be returning to school in August.
3.) Collect an offering for missions during VBS. Explain clearly where the money goes and how it will be used. You can make this a competition to help get kids excited to give to missions!
4.) Offer your teens the opportunity to serve during VBS. Spend a little time teaching them to share their testimonies and have gospel conversations so they can see how their service is actually hands-on missions.
5.) Try out Missions Journey: Kids as a session during your VBS (and to see if it is something your church would like to invest in year-round). Missions Journey: Kids is a fully developed children's missions curriculum that includes Bible study, missionary testimonies, fun games and activities, videos, and more!

"If your church didn’t exist, would your community notice? Whether it’s painting a school, cleaning up a yard, or serving meals to those in need, your church knows your community’s specific needs and can choose the best project to make a difference through ServeNC." (https://ncbaptist.org/servenc/)

Invite Sara Lamkin from WMUNC to come speak with your church about mental health. Sara can introduce you to what mental health looks like and how individuals and the church can help those that are hurting. She can also personalize a talk that speaks to what your church is going through. Email Sara at [email protected]
WMU also has an online class if an individual wants to learn more :https://www.christianleaderlearning.com/courses/mental-health-the-churchs-response
